my love is like a rose
The rose sitting there
Thorns pricking through
Sharp but not seen
This one calls to me
Like a touch of hand once ruined
Now I see and close nothing left
As blood runs down my hand
We as this a dreadful sorrow in our eyes
We hold it closer as more blood is drawn
And throw it when it begins to hurt
Close your eyes and forget the pain
Only to wake up to find the prick gone
The pedals like your skin so soft and silky
The stem like your back so hard and rough
The thorns like your eyes
Piercing through one soul to the next
Your voice
Like death calling to take once more
Your hands
Telling me to come near
Closer and closer we run away but only to be taken hostage
My love for you
It is dying softly and silently
As am I
You touch me once more
And I fall to the ground
Tell me once more
The irritation of the prick
Remove the blood from my hand
For I will never let go
No pain could amount to this
No love could be much greater
And no stem could be this hard and rough
Thorns pricking through
Sharp but not seen
This one calls to me
Like a touch of hand once ruined
Now I see and close nothing left
As blood runs down my hand
We as this a dreadful sorrow in our eyes
We hold it closer as more blood is drawn
And throw it when it begins to hurt
Close your eyes and forget the pain
Only to wake up to find the prick gone
The pedals like your skin so soft and silky
The stem like your back so hard and rough
The thorns like your eyes
Piercing through one soul to the next
Your voice
Like death calling to take once more
Your hands
Telling me to come near
Closer and closer we run away but only to be taken hostage
My love for you
It is dying softly and silently
As am I
You touch me once more
And I fall to the ground
Tell me once more
The irritation of the prick
Remove the blood from my hand
For I will never let go
No pain could amount to this
No love could be much greater
And no stem could be this hard and rough
