Falling Leaves( Mikimoon & Carpe collab)

Leaves fell into flames
burning to ash
I watched their demise
entertained as wholly
by their death as their growth


Here we are drowning in
mayhem blind to our demise
just falling leaves burning bright
we have no hope insight


lest we contrive to understand
the light in dark
death in life


constrained by a society
who at this stage
easily forgets
words like
sympathy and compassion


replaces human connection
with a long blank stare
a voided interest
a lack of concern


for anything but "me"
greed rules
with iron fist


ego centered
selfish reared
breeding contempt
closed eyes, sealed ears


blind to mother natures plight
this horrible sickness
who will stand witness?
