Musings on an evening
Flights of me in the midnight sky
Songs of siren from the days gone by
Fly up silvery highway in the heavens
Swoop to touch glitter of stars
There I be, with my soul so free
Away from the dusts and muds
Free of dirt of hatred of strife
For why touch the ordinary
Why hold and love the mundane
When I can live within the realm
Where beauty enhanced splendour known
Where love is freely given
Without any quarter drawn
Should I land on terra firma
I would land in my magic forest
Where lovers’ gambles have no stakes
Just promises made under moonlit skies.
