Seal My Lips
I wish I could
seal up all the words
that have so carelessly
tumbled from my lips
gaze upon them in their trapped state
I wonder what they would look like
imagining a whirling black void
with tendrils still seeking to suck life
from the people I uttered them to
longing with all my heart
to take them back
I ask the heavens to
cast them in the sea of forgetfulness
where I no longer play the dark jester
with no laughs to be had
seal up all the words
that have so carelessly
tumbled from my lips
gaze upon them in their trapped state
I wonder what they would look like
imagining a whirling black void
with tendrils still seeking to suck life
from the people I uttered them to
longing with all my heart
to take them back
I ask the heavens to
cast them in the sea of forgetfulness
where I no longer play the dark jester
with no laughs to be had

They may not be able to be taken back, but they can always be replaced.. I don't know why but the image of papering over old wallpaper came into my head then.. images happen to me often, like analogies lol.
Wonderful expression and pen Crim :)

Sometimes I wish I could take words back. But then I think fuck it, if you took it out of context and did nothing about it your loss.

I think we all have a lot we'd love to take back..words, actions, also those unsaid and never done..we grow and we learn..you have a beautiful soul and we all need forgiveness for things as we are not perfect-none of us. This write is beautiful and touching..write on Crim! :-)peace

"I ask the heavens to

Incredible ink that caress the awareness of how powerful words can be.

Oh my sweet We cannot take back what is said what is done cannot be undone, yet we can learn, correct and redeem ourselves, so never lament what cannot be changed. Be better.

A profound mind you have, Crim.
Words will never be erased 'till we
manage to paint them over with a new
colour, brighter or darker.
Very well written :)
