I imagined a storyboard in my head about a person who wakes up one morning and slowly but pretty calmly realises they've missed the second coming; thinks about it a bit; decides to go back to sleep and wait for the third coming - because everyone know things come in threes. It's like a sad shrug. One New Year's Eve when I was little, I fell asleep just before midnight when the fireworks were let off, didn't wake up 'til late the next morning and was sad about missing the first minute of the new year all day. Really like the first three lines of your poem. Hope you're well, dkzk.

it's actually 4 separate pooms....
haiku is a form where ye fit what ye got to say in 3-lines, 17 syllables of 5,then 7,then 5..........
i've been surprised that DUP didn't have a haiku 'category'.....but maybe most folk ain't as aware or into it as i thought....every few years, seems i go on haiku binge.....i meanlike including haiku-like quick spontaneous blurts that aren't necessarily follering the 5,7,5 form
it originated with ancient zen poets as away of focusing on a simplicity, express irony, & like a celebration of unifying dualities, contradictions, absurdity........
