Dancing the edge of the light
within shadows of the dark
their each step, beats free
with the sound once lonely heart
now glowing sparks, twine time
the songs play, softly

Songs like beating wings of dove
Fluttering against the winds of time
Against cold nights it travels forth
Towards afar and then beyond
Traverse time as yet unknown
Knocks on door, as yet unopened

Sounds that serenade rounds carry couple
Cards in a deck together shuffle
making a break in their way
lips coo on the breeze
Lovers’ lavish lattice layered longing
staking places, they drive nails home

Songs of yearnings keep on yet
Encircling the gold loop
Of bronze and gold
On slender finger holds
Promises of forever
Staked on little coloured cards

To these shapes, tomorrow’s dream
may land of Nod
Spill out upon real,
giving the ghosts chance
back to living
Peace be worthy, infinite days
