a poet's path
the buds of wisdom
are blooming
take her in
sweet fragrances
awake the senses
as she opens your mind
to new valleys of hope
sprinkled with daisies
of truth
they illuminate your path
out of the darkness
of a despairing past
unto enlightenment
where your soul
truly abides
as you take in the light
that is fed
in these poetry halls
poets great & small
raise their voice
showing the way ...

cherry blossom
i whisper to the spirits
let's make some magic today
i can't do it alone
with gentle undertones
they move the soul
mere words stand naked
to touch a heart
& bring a feeling
sigh to cause one to feel
brings one to their knees in ecstasy
when the first cherry blossom
is seen on the tree of thought
then something special begins
a movement from deep within
so delicate are...

don't touch
my pain is felt
sheltered & nurtured
given a place
deep inside my soul
where it can grow
into a being all its own
with a voice that cuts
my gentler side
still I fight for its right
to thrive
it's been a part of me
so very long
to put it out now
would be cruel
& so very wrong
I feed it memories
that spark anger & regret
the inferno rages
& is out of control ...

in my defining hour
you found me lacking
a child with no song
on the stage of life
humming along to other's tunes
without one of my own
I was bereft & barefoot
navigating minefields
treacherous is the road
when you follow
where others lead
then you came
placed a melody in my heart
a secret one just for me

the waiting room
as I sat in a lonely waiting room
awaiting my fate
a traveler came in & sat beside me
he said he was roaming the universe
& spent most his time in rooms such as this
I told him anxiety's mountain
was upon my chest
that I felt lost
& knew I would soon be judged
found unfit & hung
for being of no good use to anyone
he looked deep into my eyes
said friend your debt is erased ...
awaiting my fate

The Meth Diaries~Final Entry
this will be my last entry
in the meth diaries
yesterday I slept hard
through the day
my wifi was down so I couldn't post
the night was horrible
I had drug nightmares
but this time when in front of me
I said what about the poets i'll be letting down?
& didn't do it in my dream
sad to say I didn't do that in life
I messed up again today
I thought about lying to you
because I feel like a failure
& didn't want...

The Meth Diaries~Frozen In The Ice
the smell of my last line
still lingers in my nose
& haunts me
i'm hurting today
when i'm high
I touch the celestial
just to crash back to Earth
I feel so low
I don't know if i'll ever be up again
the craving of the drug is insane
my mind is chasing it
plots ways of getting it
i'm phening
& my brain won't stop
my demons bite
with cruel attacks
they come after me
even while I sleep

Meth's Last Kiss
I am filled with a sense of apathy today
& I don't feel like writing
but I am pushing myself through it
depression has set in
i'm bipolar
& my balance is naturally off
withdrawal has only increased this
i've looked into the history of meth
& found out Hitler's scientists created it
at one time it was used as a depression cure
it works great
I find myself wishing it was still legal
thinking a lot about my last line today
i'm...

today is day six
& I feel a great amount of shame
I didn't make it today without using
i'm down from a line every other day
to a line once a week
still I have to quit completely
I am lying to my family
breaking their trust
& it's causing me a lot of pain
I struggled through day three & four
my emotions were all over the place
angry, sad & depressed
on day four my pride was broken
as I chased it & was denied
