I had never written a poem or even read much when about three years ago it came pouring out of me. Now I have close to one hundred. I have read at open mics to some appreciative response but have no idea if my stuff is any good.

Subway Cyborgs
Down into the sweltering underground
I go
I am bumped and jostled by sweaty
commuters. Deprived of sufficient coffee
they appear robotic on their way as corpy
wage slave drones
I pretend they are robots or better still
technologically enhanced humans
controlled by super secret artificial
intelligence whereabouts unknown
This strategy allows me to dodge
and duck them without anger or words
like motherfucker. Even the mad rantings
of undomiciled crazy man in flat fedora
stinking of urine and Thunderbird...
I go

Nim Chimpsky took a bite out of
Noam Chomsky's thumb. Wanted
to see if Nim smart or dumb
Nim said you think I'm dim?
I'll show you and chomped with
great delight but found Noam's
hand too bland. So he bit thumb
Then spent rest of day
gorging on dim sum and
getting drunk on dark rum.

The Word of God
The Word of God is biiiiitch!
vast spectrum of human emotion
held therein. Some imagine God's
voice to be that of long beard
grandfather stern and fat
My God is playful and loves to hear
universe of language dialect accent
colloquial slang and surely in cuss words
He takes heavenly delight
But bitch is God's favorite
It can show play anger arrogance
disgust amazement all in one
sacred syllable
That is why God loves hip hop. He
laughs with glee at words bitch and
ho and rhymes like my AK in car ...
