The whispers in my darkness

Lost It
I've lost my mind again
And i can't remember where
I think it ran off with my heart
That thing that helps me care
It is difficult to be empty and still maintain control
The weight of the dark thing and it's needs
Are starting to take its toll
Nothing good can come from the things it will demand
I know it sounds crazy
But you just don't understand

Running on autopilot now
I continue to function

When the river
Asked me for a kiss
It was that something
I just could not resist
It's surface was so very
Calm and exciting
The words were
Cool and inviting
It entered my mind
I just had to obey
I could not protest
There was nothing to say
I leapt from the edge
To start my descent
The peace that I felt
Was heaven sent
I broke the surface
Negativity washed away
What a perfect end
To this day
Air forced from my lungs
Sanity yet to be returned

My chest expanded and burned

Safest Place
The Darkness looked out
Satisfaction crossed It's face
And A smile rose to It's lips
Here was a safe haven
A place for the freaks and misfits
A place for the perverts and the mad
Victims willing and otherwise roam freely
There's a mineral smell upon the air
Deep silence broken by screams and laughter
Here is where the nightmares will roam
Where the things that go bump in the night reside
The land of twisted desires
Where the hopeless find relief
This will be heaven for some and hell for all
