Since the release of the album that bore your name
your destiny was Music's Hall of fame
One night i met your band members at the Smart bar having fun
i asked where you were-they said out having your hair done
You were a part of eighties that i will never forget
as fans for all the good time we are forever in your debt
You stood up to the record industry and didn't back down
nowadays folks just like their whore or clown
You were not afraid to tell folks the truth
about Chem-trails and the Illuminati you were a real sleuth ...

Mourn Me Not
When my time comes mourn me not for I am not gone I am with you forever at the first light of dawn
And every Summer as the sun does set I am with you-on this you can bet
I am with you when the Daffodils return every year in early spring and every time you hear a church bell ring
Every time you hear a baby cry and when you eat a cobbler or sweet fruit pie
Whenever a Football game kicks-off or you get a visit from Old Jack Frost
I will be present on Christmas Day or whenever you hear the laughter of children at play

My Garden of Creation
A space where flowers grow with names like simile and metaphor
and cultivating them is the work I adore
I am digging through my mind for another fresh rhyme
because once again it is harvest time
I arrange the concepts based on platonic idealism
juxtaposed with stark modern urban realism
With themes old as time
about the battles of evil versus the divine
Or sometimes a simple statement upon reflection
after a daydream or mediation
Once again after my muse's visitation

My Final Battle
I have worn many hats and played many parts
and made numerous costume changes in my various roles
Sadly, first hand one day I will know "for whom the bell tolls"
until then I will cherish the good in a bad day if i have any smarts
In this lifetime, I have learn a few things
like the fact all 7 billion of us are flawed human beings
And when my back is against the wall
my best move is to drop my knees and pray to stand tall
that the written words of fools and sages
both begin on blank pages
And that in late spring ...

I don't spit truth on a dare
I do it because I care
I believe that hope
is the ultimate dope
And that not with guns but with stroke of a pen
that world-wide revolutions begin
My poems are more powerful than the missile called a Tomahawk
if you read one you will know that's not just talk
Tonight I am going to light up the sky
and let this one fly
As sure as electricity comes out of my light socket
I am aiming for your mind with this word rocket

Waves float through the atmosphere
that only I can hear
They carry messages to which I can relate
once on them I am able to triangulate

There is a lag in my CPU's response time
which let's me know everything is not fine
