LOVE POEM

An Ode to Sade
I tend to cling to things that want to leave
Teaching so called lovers how to love and they flee
I’m left in a vulnerable mess, often wondering
Is it me?
What do I lack in love?
What am I missing that you want to see?
Seasons cycle, loves recycle, maybe this is how it’s meant to be
You use my love as an escape and you retreat
back to the caves of faceless lovers
and other beings
that satisfy you for a moment
But ultimately they
Leave
For reasons unbeknownst to you or me

Adam & Eve
You let him ruin your soul
Take advantage of your attraction
The shell of a man
I mean it's clear what he's after
Your garden
He's tricking you into being his Eve
Devouring your fruit, planting weeds. then slamming the gate to your garden. Stepping on all your leaves
He didnt even wait for your fruit to become ripe
Spoiling your seeds
No sunlight to grow, no nutrients
No water reaching your roots
Shallow waters, shallow love
Barely knee deep.
Can I go deeper?
Drown your heart, and free you of your demons ...

How long does it take for love to fade?
How long does it take for love to fade?
I'm not afraid of falling out of love.
I'm afraid of the people I'll meet that'll
Give me a new perspective of love
That'll forcefully take my love
until for someone,
It fades

Set It On Fire
And it happened in an instant
My rage for love became a self destruction
I know what my soul needs to survive
What my heart
needs to keep beating
But is there anyone out there willing to pick up my pieces
Build me up?
Blow open the doors to my love
Then
become its prisoner
I feel bad bc
I knew we'd end self destructing together
We'd probably end up drowning in each other
Suffocated love. Became to much
Then float away from each other with the currents
She'd probably end up on some sandy beach
With other gorgeous...
