Courage
In the fight to the death, a bloody battle,
Courage emerges, afraid of nothing.
Ready to fight, ready to die,
I've learned the times I've forgotten.
Passion ignites, love fuels the fire,
Stay true to oneself, never tire.
No tone can define this fierce desire,
To conquer all, and never retire.
In the face of danger, I stand tall,
No fear can shake me, I won't fall.
With every blow, I rise again,
Defying limits, breaking the chain.

Step dad's, my worst nightmare
The pain, the fear, the never-ending tears,
My stepdads, both abusive, caused me years and years
Of trauma, of scars, of nightmares at night,
Of constantly wondering if I'll survive the next fight.
One threw me off the second floor,
Left me broken, bruised, and sore,
But that was just the beginning, you see,
The other one had a gun, and aimed it at me.
I spent countless nights, in terror and dread,
Not knowing if I'd wake up or end up dead,
Christmas was just another day to survive,
In the kitchen garbage, I was left to...
