Wallace graciously helped Howark to stand
And Howark gladly accepted his hand.
“I warned you, my friend.” What more can I say?”
Howark was unsteady and beginning to sway.
Shaking and twitching and gibbering a bit
He was somewhat embarrassed at his earlier fit.
Howark himself was a curious sight
For his hair had turned unnaturally white.
Pouring brandy from an ancient decanter
Wallace engaged Howark in informative banter.

To know its contents he so desired.
Wallace gazed through wearied blue eyes,
Took a long breath and heavily sighed
“There’s nothing there, really. Just a pound of bone.”
“But between you and me it should be left alone.”
“Come now, Wallace. How bad can it be?
”Open it up and let me see!”

Outside of the mall dreadfully cheery I was feeling drained and rather wearyFor they had been in there for an hour, maybe more.Passing the time my foot restless, tapping. This whole ordeal my energy sapping, As if some ancient vampire lapping, lapping my blood outside the store.“Bloodsuckers!” I muttered. Tapping my veins outside the store.
