I Saw Her Painting Something
As the sun first made contingence with the sky
The bright white dove did fly
Hopelessness died
I saw her standing in the window painting something
I didn't mean to pry
The brackish dye had taken from it
Her prismatic dress
You could say that it was grand at it's best
The jeremiad mindset didn't exist or digressed
Her distress placed plain upon an easel
Decorative tears
From unrequited love and evil
An unremitting sequel
Screamed loud via brushes of paint
Can't be expressed another way
Oh what a gaudy display
A dossier of every...

Wrong Turns
They say the prayers of the righteous shall avail
To maneuver this ship called life
Without a sail
To tell you the truth
There's no telling where you could be
And my problem is that I'm too anxious to wait and see
And plus to deal with the problems and common crazes facing me
Saying that love don't exist
Guess where the drugs are taking me?
A place I'd really hate to be
The most important thing in life is your mental
Bad choices
Add voices to all detrimental
Another thing is you've got to live and let live
can't be...
To maneuver this ship called life
Without a sail
To tell you the truth
There's no telling where you could be
And my problem is that I'm too anxious to wait and see

Sky As The Limit
If I'm told I'm doing good I won't believe it
In spite of achievements
I keep a record just to beat it
And when I'm defeated
Those are the times I need the most
Every mistake is what it takes for me to grow
More blessings
I'm on a mission for the next best thing
I honor every person trying to chase a dream
Feel the same as me
Setting goals way out of the box
There's nothing we can't do because we write our own plots
With the sky as the limit
One things for sure
You'll know when you're winning

Rejected Assauge
Hostile colloquy
Go away
Save your apologies
I don't want to see your face
I'm leaving you can stay
If I had a nickel for your mistakes
I couldn't breath
I'd be crushed from all the weight
And I feel like that now
It's gotten better cause' I left you and found another person who can really hold me down
Teaching me love
All that guilt is really eating you up
And that's the only reason why you keep in touch
You want to make it nice
I'm not allowing you to make things right
I'd rather let the phone ring all night
You say...
Go away

What School Didn't Teach
People say life is this and that
It may be a metaphor
A game of whist perhaps?
Compared to an onion
Some artichokes and alphabets
Interesting allegories but who could really answer that?
At times it's good and bad
Sweet and sad like a long lost love
To where you try to find your way
But things are so crossed up
You learn to live life like a hand in water
I wish I had a quarter for the people not as loyal
Now I've jerry-built a border
Cause' I can't take any deceit
It's not allowed like kids throwing sticks in the street
And...

Off-course Compassion
A dying flame still contained in my heart
It once burned bright but now restrained to a spark
So full of dispassion while being enchained in the dark
There's nothing to say
Just face the pain of the marked
May it break you apart
A cold heart sets your soul on froze
And the reason why?
Nobody ever knows
Not mad at the world but at the fact you're all alone
Now you live like a drone
Without a heart to call your own
Your walls of defense are surely standing firm and tall
Shielding you from the love
Hate
Happiness and all ...

What I Don't Understand
Somehow it seems I've become a bother
Because you weren't there
You're blaming me for being the father
That you never we're
You think this could become a problem
No worries for me
But you proceed to bring the drama
Now
From my understanding
You never planned to play a part
In your child's life
But now you plan to play your cards
With no holds barred
The guilt is breaking you apart
I'd still rather stay
I'd hate to leave the baby scarred
Placed in position
With no intentions of the heat
Much needed retreat ...
Because you weren't there
You're blaming me for being the father
That you never we're
You think this could become a problem

Starry Night
One time only come across my heart
What started out of question
Now an awesome spark
Tread the park
Such a starry night
What did you say?
Im hanging on your every word
Conversations astray
Get off your feet and take a seat right here with me
An outside of marriage relationship
So full of glee
Were sitting by the tree
Feelings run deep
Look at the sky!
The fireworks boosted the mood
Let's progress to the wine
Were feeling fine
And you'd like to tell a secret

And then...

Truth Serum
First things first
Call it what you want but love is a curse
A fated expiration date
And no escape from the hurt
And it's sad cause' some people do deserve it
Duplicity's resurgent
Staying faithful wasn't working
So the people who were hurting made a vow
It'd never happen again
No one they came in contact with now
Would surpass being a friend
Welcome to the end of laudable behavior
The closest ones betray ya
Rendezvous then see you later
And it's true they weren't as grateful
Everlasting grief
Fill in the void
With trivial...

No Point In Hiding It
While I'm sittin' in my room
Kickin' it to old school
Having thoughts from the past
Sorta sad
We're both fools
Although it's old news
I've been thinkin' a bit
The time it took me to convince you into taking a risk
We could've made it but we faded due to trivial things
I'm feeling jaded
Contemplated even giving you rings
The reason we fell apart
Too many people involved
And you'd always like to scream how I was leaving you scarred
But relationships go both ways
So peep the issue
But I really do miss...

First-born Girl
I pass a word to my first born
a light in the sky
to shine upon the lost souls in the night
and I cry because you'll never get to fly
heard you died before birth
now picture hearing this news as a father
it hurts
but I'll remain optimistic
keeping it real
even though you didn't make it
I believe in you still
and no words could explain the way I feel
I couldn't save a life
I fight to keep the pain concealed
just disgust and injustice
I'm kinda glad you wasn't here
and be born into lust
this place where people...

Another Person
Another person died
Murder murder
A mother had cried
They sent her baby to the burner
There's no way to hide
This genocide is eternal
I would've been lying if I had said it never hurts
Open your eyes
Another person in a box
Blood flooded the streets like jealousy on the block
Outlines in chalk in every place you try and walk
Say it's out of control
A close community now bitter and cold
And wasn't hip to packing weapons but the fear made them bold
Corrupt cops in the streets
Activists get the heat
Anyone who speaks...
