Life Comes At You Fast
There once was a man who lived in a pit,
Covered in scabs, who liked to spit.
Begging for your money-
So he could get some honey;
He flipped off a semi and got hit.

My Beautiful Lady
Beautiful' and 'Lovely',
Only two of the names I call you.
Whenever you're around I have to
Stop and stare;
A perfectly flawed and pale face
Shrowded on all sides by velvety black.
Sometimes you add a little color
And I notice. Maybe you do it for me,
But I bet all the Birds and Bats feel the same.
The name you gave me is shared
By none I know and I don't mind.
I know you save a face just for me.
Only two of the names I call you.

I'm Alive
I don't know how to explain the difference;
I'm here and I'm alive are not the same.
I'm here is flat, colorless.
I'm alive is... Is like now.
My eyes are wide and aware.
Even walking this familiar route.
The trees have detail, personality.
The street lamps are bright and welcoming.
I don't want to die.
I imagine this is what everyone else feels.
I want to feel like this forever.
Alive.
I'm here and I'm alive are not the same.

Haiku Set: Surgery
Fleeting memories,
Only remembering pain.
No painkillers, please.
Fighting against sleep,
But I really shouldn't be.
Healing is costly.
Waken by crying;
He is battering my door,
Not understanding.
Listening to tales
Of Niko revenge puking,
Trying not to laugh.
My friends, beautiful
And hellishly protective.
Fucking restrictions.
Looking at my scars
Everything is imperfect.
Healing takes too long.

I seem to be going numb.
