Where dark lies
Where dark lies
I have gone so far
down at times that
despair has become
my focus and death
has looked like
paradise.
Why am I still
here? Because
I stared death
in its face and
met the challenge
it represented.
Knowing myself
was the challenge
and I realised in
the mirror was
myself looking back.
Overcoming me took
me to realise that
stopping me from
jumping into an
abyss only took
me.
I have gone so far
down at times that

My Heart's Future
Still my heart beats for you my love
while the sun rises each day and I
am awake to see it I know my life
has meaning. If you read this you
will know our love continues as
time moves on and every day it
grows.
Nothing makes me hungrier for
you than to see you lying next to
me waking in the light of a new
day with our future to be written.
If I wake with this future waiting
for me I know I have to enjoy this
day and every other to the full and
show you how much you mean to
me.

Sleeping
Sleeping, dreaming, waking, wondering.
Although apart we try and drift into
sleep at the same time as if we are
together so we can share our dreams
and then, possibly, share our waking
so beginning a new day in harmony
perhaps making sweet love sharing
each touch and imbuing it with sweet
memories. Wondering what today will
bring and hoping our plans are what
we dreamt of last night and that today
will end with more peaceful sleep so
the cycle repeats
