Still reeling over this New Moon as the last of the flames burn down. I looked over and noticed a piece of wax protruding from one of the ritual candles in the shape of someone. This is not a part of the flame but wax that I do not understand how it didn't burn down with the rest of the candle. I see a lot scrying, but this was pretty blatant.

I wondered who it might be ( typically I know immediately ). I thought Mother Mary, but that didn't fit because it feels more masculine than feminine. I honestly had no idea on this one, other than it was a spirit walking through the fire.

Then, when I quit thinking about it and trying to make someone fit, it hit me.

It's me surviving the flames of the kiln that I feel like I'm currently in with this 18 month reverse nodal return and the previous18 months of its shadow passing over my Sun.

So, early next year, when it all ends, for 3 years I have been in the shadow of the Dragon overhead, and now in the Dragon's breath of my reverse return.

Light at the end of a very long tunnel that we all must endure should be granted a long life.

Gibran said it best:

On Love

Then said Almitra, Speak to us of Love.
    And he raised his head and looked upon
the people, and there fell a stillness upon
them. And with a great voice he said:
    When love beckons to you, follow him,
    Though his ways are hard and steep.
    And when his wings enfold you yield to
him,
    Though the sword hidden among his
pinions may wound you.
    And when he speaks to you believe in
him,
    Though his voice may shatter your dreams
as the north wind lays waste the garden.

    For even as love crowns you so shall he
crucify you. Even as he is for your growth
so is he for your pruning.
    Even as he ascends to your height and
caresses your tenderest branches that quiver
in the sun,
    So shall he descend to your roots and
shake them in their clinging to the earth.
                                      •
    Like sheaves of corn he gathers you unto
himself.
    He threshes you to make you naked.
    He sifts you to free you from your husks.
    He grinds you to whiteness.
    He kneads you until you are pliant;
    And then he assigns you to his sacred
fire, that you may become sacred bread for
God’s sacred feast.

    All these things shall love do unto you
that you may know the secrets of your
heart, and in that knowledge become a
fragment of Life’s heart.

    But if in your fear you would seek only
love’s peace and love’s pleasure,
    Then it is better for you that you cover
your nakedness and pass out of love’s
threshing-floor,
    Into the seasonless world where you
shall laugh, but not all of your laughter,
and weep, but not all of your tears.
                                     •
    Love gives naught but itself and takes
naught but from itself.
    Love possesses not nor would it be
possessed;
    For love is sufficient unto love.

    When you love you should not say,
“God is in my heart,” but rather, “I am
in the heart of God.”
    And think not you can direct the course
of love, for love, if it finds you worthy,
directs your course.

    Love has no other desire but to fulfil
itself.
    But if you love and must needs have
desires, let these be your desires:
    To melt and be like a running brook
that sings its melody to the night.
    To know the pain of too much tenderness.
    To be wounded by your own under-
standing of love;
    And to bleed willingly and joyfully.
    To wake at dawn with a winged heart
and give thanks for another day of loving;
    To rest at the noon hour and meditate
love’s ecstasy;
    To return home at eventide with grati-
tude;
    And then to sleep with a prayer for the
beloved in your heart and a song of praise
upon your lips.

My home smells absolutely DIVINE with a homemade, fresh in season peach cobbler baking away with homemade vanilla bean ice cream in the freezer. TIS the season!

Low energy but fabulous! I just completed a major design project for a client's new oracle deck, and it went to print today! Can't wait until it hits the market! Here's a sneak preview ( shared with permission )!

If you love dragons, this deck release is for you!

Feeling a bit empty lately, life's fine lately,truly. But I've been struggling with this for a while now.
I'm fine as of right now,but it's really bugging me.

Thanks! This is my first oracle deck & book design, so I'm pretty stoked. I've done book and magazine covers & newspaper layouts, but not something like this and it was a job.

I'm in ad design for her launch party at the end of the month. I'm so happy for her!

LMAO! I think the caption to this was something like, 'What it feels like when a cold breeze drifts through" or something.

Warm here! Already 84°. Mimosa blooms pave the way for summer.

Picked up a new website client yesterday. Love starting with a fresh canvas.

Not one to overly complain but it was hotter than a hellhound's ass today. Especially when ya got to work out in the shit. Let's just skip to Fall and put the goddamn football back on the TV already. Like Berryman says in song 77:

Henry likes Fall.
Hé would be prepared to líve in a world of Fáll
for ever, impenitent Henry.
But the snows and summers grieve & dream;

Hope all you poets are well and enjoying the beginning of what appears to be another savage summer. Stay hydrated and don't these high temps lay you low!

I have a novella's worth of cat drama going on. I intended to regale everyone with all the twists and turns and threads but right now it's a perfect cocktail of not knowing where to start and overall laziness at getting my thoughts organized enough to relate and make sense. It's all very sad & entertaining and riddled with synchronicities. Seriously, enough with the fkn synchronicities already. Anyway, before I get sidetracked again....I rescued some more ferals, a mother and three kittens. I found a home for the kittens and adopted the mother. And she's not entirely civilized.

Burning some more annual time before the end of June, so I'll be creeping about the DUP some this week. See you around. Stay cool!
