I'm always glad to hear my friends are doing great as you clearly are. I am more than pleased with the collaborations we are doing. It's made me feel like I'm walking on air! The music you make for my songs/poetry is wonderful! You're an incredible musician. You have helped make this past year one of the best years of my life and I thank you for it.

I met up with my sister and cousin (who live 3 hours away) to celebrate our (March and April) birthdays!  We booked ourselves a spa day instead of buying each other birthday presents.  It was great to catch up and chat all day.  I LOVED getting wet (various fancy showers, steam room, jacuzzi) and had my first massage, which was amazing.  I had to cycle 4 miles each way... downhill on the way there and uphill on the way back.  Ouch!

Hoi hoi @faithmairee
It took some time to realise you actually talked about our cooperation. And, as I am older, I have probably had more chance to happy years than you.

But all kidding aside, I feel very happy and privileged to have this coop going on.
The technicalities need some sorting out I’m afraid. ‘Loving me’ was good and did justice to the quality of work you seemingly easily delivered.

I am elated that you are doing fine and that you are happy.
That is important. We must try and keep up this feeling good thing.
Plus meeting you here and our coop is more than I could have asked for.
So: I’m grateful too.
Kind regards, Gus

I've been okay myself! Feeling very inspired lately! I go back to school soon and am worried I won't have as much time to write as I did this summer but I am taking an advanced poetry workshop so it's not like I won't be writing, which is good! I always take the time to write at school when I need it cause generally whenever I get the feeling of needing to write, something is wrong or I'm confused about something and I'm trying to figure it out. I just have a lot of classes and things I want to do this semester that I already feel overwhelmed by. But it'll be okay. Once I get my life together, it'll all work itself out. if it did last semester, it can this semester.

☝️@Halle - Life has a way of working out how we least expect it to. I guess it always finds a way. Keep the faith that it will

Taking a break... I've been sorting out laundry and tidying up all afternoon and it's DULL. I'm very sneezy, my chest is aching badly, bit of a wheeze. No idea if it's an allergy or if I'm coming down with something. Not  sure which is worse tbh!

It's an allergy. Sniffle. Asthma is bugging me a bit but the pain has gone and at least I'm not feeling unwell.  Hopefully I'll be over it in another couple of weeks.

I cycled 3 miles to the station in torrential rain today, and looked exactly like I'd jumped in a pool, fully clothed.  I took a train to Bristol and met up with a friend who was on the way to South Wales with her family.  I did my first ever book signing, and also have my first reviews on Amazon.

I started teaching myself Italian 18 months ago today, and am now reading 'The curious incident of the dog in the night time' in Italian.  I can't believe it!  A different friend brought it back from Italy for me.  I'm very happy about it.  2 years ago today, I had my last haircut, a DIY 30cm lop during lockdown.  It's almost down to my hip now.  I will celebrate tomorrow by dyeing it Mermaid.

Having a bit of a day today. A friend of mine passed away quite suddenly this morning. Spent most of the day thinking how odd life is.

We decided on chippy tea tonight. Best thing to happen to me today.

I'm so sorry for your loss. It's always a shock when something like that happens, and I'm not surprised you're feeling pensive.  A couple of years ago, I lost my 'dad'.  I didn't find out until a few months after he passed, and even though I didn't know or like him, I still felt weird about the loss of a human life.  Besides, he was someone's husband and someone's brother.  Not their fault he was incapable of being a parent.  I'm thinking of you, anyway.

I'm "here".  An odd week dealing with odd people.  Yaknow, friends and co-workers. Lol.
I spent this Friday evening babysitting a friend who busted up her knee.  It was a trade-off. Because I got a new cell phone (switched companies etc,) and she showed me how to work the damn thing all proper.
It's awesome compared to my old one.  And I hate it.   Lol.

And, Autumn can't get here soon enough.  I'm tired of the air feeling like a hot wet blanket.  Yuck.

Hoi hoi
@NSMissy
I wish I could support you one way or the other. But I hope that when DUP’ers are thinking of you, you'll feel the strength.

And maybe you will also supported with some slightly silly message from the east of France.
Yesterday, in the Netherlands, we had National Waving Day. A day when you can walk or cycle around waving at everyone you please. And most probably they’ll wave back.

Kou_, the lady with the beautiful red head dress, says she’s a bit childish. We’ll, that depends. Come and learn it from us. The love of my life and me are always waving at each other.
If she goes out to have a pee on a french camping, we wave as long as we see each other. Really don’t care what other people may think.

What others may need a National Waving day for, we do all the year round.

There’s an artistic wave based on the attempt to keep a certain untroubled and happy childishness. It is called COBRA. One of the most prominent COBRA’ers told me to stop playing  (I.e. not taking my art seriously) and get to work. Artistically. And that’s what I did.

So it all falls into place.
Like Kou_, I’m childish. And my aim is to never lose that element of playfulness.
So I wave.
And I wave extra to Missy, to bolster up the courage!
Like Curtis Mayfield said: Keep on keepin’ on!
Kind regards, Gus

Doing better today. My fridge clapped out a few days back, and I guess the universe must have heard my inane swearing over it, because we got given one that is only a few months old today for free that somebody no longer wanted! So we’ve just been to pick it up. Happy days. I love it when things work out.

Other than that… I am so excited about the thought of autumn. Is anyone else just Y’know… ready for leaves and cold?

I'm upset about autumn and very upset about going back to a job I've fallen out of love/ like with. We are also extremely skint. I have a kid going through some stuff and a friend going through some stuff, so I'm not functioning fully.

Sorry to hear that my lovely… seems to be hitting people differently this time of year.

All I’m saying is, nobody has ever been sad drinking a hot chocolate. 😊
