I feel a quick lesson in the role of Dom/sub is needed
If you disagree with what I say that is your perogative
This description goes back to ancient Japan
The role of the Dom is to guide the sub
To lead, and direct, to nuture, protect and provide
Yes the Dom does povide for the sub, by allowing the avenue to serve, to remain open, safe
and secure
The sub, is "in service" to the Dom
To reach the level of service that is needed to grow a successful relationship the sub
must, be in control of themselves.
Anything outside of self control is an illusion.
There is clarity in giving
The true self is revealed
A cessation of resistance the light within.
It is not something
you do it is who
you are.
To expose your true
self, to be in service means, you are selfless, and self sufficient.
It is a state of being where emotions like longing, devotion, vulnerability
and love are included
To demand and hurt someone is not the role of the Dom that would be a masochist
The sado masochist and it's slave is not Dom/sub

Reason being the image gave me a sense of fear, not love on the part of the sub.

Actually I am confused. You can't do things for love? I don't understand why you believe this. Being a sub is not constant and always. There are plenty of powerful men and women who are subs outside of their social life. Or are you saying they are subs in the same way someone is gay, or straight? It's not something you choose, but something you just are?
