LOL

My nickname ( that my roommate in California gave me) is NOT related to the spill I posted -- just wanted to set the record, here.

In answer to - Ever had a nickname ... that I know of?  Yes, the diminutive of my Christian name.

Do you think that we're in the midst of a massive and perpetual non-linear war?

You need to read the link before answering ... and perhaps the critique of the story by the translator, both worthwhile investments.

Didn't really need the link. It's obvious there's a whole plethora of non-linears being waged. story was ok though

do you think mandatory 4 year service in army could have a positive effect on overall ambiance of a society

4 years of being trained how to kill ... of warfare ... of being subjected to the thinking of Colonel Boyd, who came up with the OODA loop ... and the thinking of people like Brian L Steed who wrote the following critique http://www.bewilderingstories.com/issue763/without_sky_rev.html would be cool.

But it wouldn't be like that.  It would be four years of square bashing and scrubbing out toilets with a tooth brush.

Do you think that the deaths at Deepcut barracks were the results of psychological experiments by the army?

Uh-huh, without a doubt.
Having lost too much to war I’ve never understood and I guess I never will.

What is one thing you thought existed but it actually doesn’t?

[ It was more about the discipline than the killing machine, haha, but I see your point ]

Kinda reminded me of the movie A few good men.

thoughts:

people have been driven to suicide by taunts and actions of the people surrounding them.  a closed environment like a barracks could easily create a place which is harsh on a few to the point of death

and the British army is notorious for protecting their criminals and psychopaths, only have to look at the enquiries into Bloody Sunday

So I  think it's likely those that died probably did kill themselves because of the nature of the people around them

what's a nobel reason to kill someone ?

edit :

God (as depicted by bible)

Is self defense noble?  What about the greater good?  Those are the two reasons given.

Following on from,

"Do you agree that anyone who chooses to
perpetuate war is absolutely deranged ? "

Is the perpetuation of war or otherwise always a real choice?

1. ***what's a nobel reason to kill someone ?***

I am not aware of a Nobel Prize given for war yet...;)

2. However , by this definition , noble reason by some
thinking could be applied ( scratches head in wonder )

https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/noble

3. ***Is the perpetuation of war or otherwise always a real choice?***

I would ask the metaprogrammer who wrote the original program for this universe...
There must be a delete button , recycle bin , and shredder...you would think , right ?

Which is more important :

Internal self examination and diagnosis ,
or external referencing through others ?

edit : why is the verbal posting one step behind ?
