flowers scattered on the ground
mere wishes and dreams
as her eyes teared up
thinking of their forty years together
he left to traverse the skies
as she struggled to breathe
holding her sons together
two now as one had left
did her eldest went to prepare
for his father a seat at the table
or a mere coincidence
a victim of the silent crowned killers
Life's highways and freeways
had bruised their heels
they held together glued
by love's offspring
but now she said goodbye
behind the bars of a quarantine
while he left for his destination
grief and sorrow enveloped them
farewell.
Job 1:21
And said, Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD.

Intricately woven
stitched of strange abandon
non-linear colors
full of such richness
where love is
a welcome home
Harnessing hope's heart
fervent attempts
purposely claiming each day
to break dawn fearlessly
thriving upon multitudes
where learned strength
intersects with fought for pride
taking care—
to be open fully in mindfulness
realizing the flow of respect
how it carves goodness
from that strong current
back and forth
ingrained and oftentimes,
set in a precarious understanding
Breathing in,
so sweetly now
that which only a creator,
creates perfectly
questioning exactly
where questions are needed
learning to feel
from every single syllable
that slides across
a brazen tongue
Becoming
the very rhythm
from abstract
to concrete
nature's
blooming
flower
Which sings
of petals bursting
into honor
and found sanctuary
musical in tone,
beauty
and emotional
landscapes
where
lucidity
and dreams
coalesce
