A challenge that will have an end!
Train Tracks
As I walk these tracks each one gets rustier
And on each one is inscribed a number
I have reached track 50 and still going
But the further I get the more tired I become
The older my body gets, until I reach the last track
Death.

His skin is black, but he has two eyes and a nose
just like me. He smiles a milky white smile too
just like me. He hugs his daddy like he missed him for a month
just like me. He's a lot like me which is why
I don't understand why I should have this hatred
but daddy says we can't trust black people.

It seems that I'm always in the Crossfire
So I guess I'll become invulnerable
And just put 1 and 2 together
Whether they like it or not
Or better yet have them duke it out
And rise out of their weakening crossfire
While each side falls
I shall rise as a phoenix.
