truly am surprised by this win. So many awfully grinchy entries here. I firmly believed I was out-Scrooged on many occasions. Excellent ink, everyone. Cheers to Lobo and Snuggle and thanks to our most gracious hostess, my dearest Flamma.

This was a fun competition. I enjoyed reading all the entries. Hades was well deserving. I worked many years with a guy who took four weeks vacation to be a professional Santa at a large Mall. He let us know, a secret of the Santa trade, that reflects some of Hades misgivings. When the guys have him a hard time as to why he wouldn't play Santa for free, this was his answer.
"I let little kids sit on my lap for $80 an hour. Some guys are willing to do it for free, just for the fun of it. Ask yourself, 'what kind of fun is that free Santa talking about?"
