Poetry Contest

a travel, journey, or mind lingers.. or outer space. anything goes. but SHORT
a micropoetry comp. Whatever you think of from "traverse", the simple rules:

within 40 words
title compulsory
(word count inclusive of title)
any style of poetry
no extreme content preferably
two entries per poet
(feel free to ask any more details)

Rush ur posts, cos its juz a week tym (wl extend in rarity if for v.less responses)

my fingers caress his cheek
then trace his lips
he speaks, but his words diffuse in the ether
as I move closer, desiring to embrace him
he dissolves before my eyes

sudden realization
eyes widened
euphoria denied

I bought a book
filled with blank pages
bound in work-jeans blue.
I corrupted the blankness
with poems
for no other reason
except that I wanted
to be in a book.
this was the only way.

I have the power to bring down the Gods
I know how to summon them
and put them at peace when they are at odds
the world is in chaos because the Gods
can't get along
