I like to move with words. I like tongues to twist and deliver sensations of mixed emotions to brains. I like to sway you, trace your curves and sometimes cut off your limbs along the way. I guess you call that a poet.

you know what kills you sometimes…
gravity toppling till its severed,
leaving you suspended
like a beautiful geometry
without momentum.
you are like a
counter active rebellion,
a negligent sunshine,
a want list of hits-
socketed and jerry-rigged.
don't you threaten to threaten me
because you know what kills you sometimes
might be me.

for my demons (inspired by “vices” by Zenisith)
it’s strange how
i never danced-
two left feet
always led me
offstage.
but behind the scenes
i danced just fine,
in your embrace.
lighter than feather,
you filled me with
your smokey exhale
and i lived in your breath.

MISCELLANEOUS POEM

picayune
wet space
mouthed with teeth
i gnarled a cigarette
snatch[ed] the bag
off her feet.
i am [caught] away with me.
up against photogenic blaze
blow drying the air,
my skin
sizzling.
asphyxiation is loyal
and i owe you today
in oral [phrases]
that have me sucking in
instead of blowing you [away]
i am [caught] away with me.
pants flipped inside out
i am walking on midnight hardwood
creaking thru your mind
as you dream that the price is necessary and buy me another...

Swoop
it's funny how you were the one
who was always afraid of everything
yet looking back at times in my life
when I myself was scared
and pretty much everyone had gone away
or just didn't understand
how very real the fear was that coursed thru my blood
you were the one who stayed
you were always there when j was in pain
you were brave
kept me held close within your gentle embrace
never strayed
like after my surgery
before it too
you held up in that bed with me night and day
much like the time when you were just a pup ...

living amongst the noise
the guy in lot 5 likes to give women hickies
then paint their portraits in the sand.
he gives them texture,
because everyone in Venice must have worn grooves,
even potholes, in their character.
down the way the waitress who brings beer,
wears bells around her waist
and already knows our order
before stopping by to say hi.
we drink the sunset away before going
to bounce around the skate park
for a picture or three.
take a ride on the swings
up, down
ugh, too dizzy today.
the erdinger in my stomach
grins at me....
then paint their portraits in the sand.

my woman
my woman is folding up her tears
packing up her feelings in words
ready like bullet lead
to penetrate your head
my woman doesn't care anymore
if you are ready to hear
if you are bracing yourself
have a support system to catch you
from the fall of truth
my woman knows you are gonna go down
is not a murderer
is sick of being pushed down
is not the destroyer
is the path of light that needs to be traveled
wants and seeks to be traveled
my woman is not throwing stones
but blocking the thrown
and pushing back against...

slippery
i hold on to the rails
to dive
in on my head,
on my mind.
you've got me tattered in
mispronounced
i luv u's,
i owe u's.
plitter-platter across
skin
little perfect
sin
secret-delicious
deception.
i never meant to draw you in.
this is pencil
for the mind of a girl
is ever-so-changing.
thoughtlessly.
erasure
is greater
than ink
when it’s on paper.
party rice.
throw me on
over your shoulder,
like salt.
i don't want to tempt your luck
and turn you...
