Amazing Angel
God has blessed me with a curse
like heroin but sometimes worse
Gorgeous women from my dreams
have graced my world, or so it seems
Throughout my life, they’ve all been one
with oceanic eyes and hair like sun
Different names, they all claim
but deep inside, they’re all the same
Straight from heaven, in the least likely place
an angel struck me with her beautiful face
My eyes glued to her, couldn’t pry them away
I admired her beauty and have since that day
Brown eyes and dark hair with warm olive skin
but lust, I did not, too precious for sin
I continued to see her, my tongue always frozen
by this perfect creation for whom I was not chosen
One warm afternoon, she sat beside me
she started to talk, open and free
We conversed for an hour and I was amazed
that the peace within her was more than a phase
A few weeks went by as we cruised separate streets
‘til our paths crossed again like we didn’t miss a beat
The more time we spent, the more clearly I saw
that we shared the same pasts, wicked and raw
In this precious girl, I saw much of myself
as she shared with me, her internal wealth
This angelic woman had me in a trance
triggering reveries of future romance
Sometimes I’m not sure and I don’t understand
so I put faith in God and his master plan
I trust there’s a reason this angel is here
She’s become a great friend and helped me fight fear
I haven’t a clue what the future may bring
for me and this woman with bracelets and rings
but one thing I know is how much I care
and for this sweet angel, I’ll always be there
God has blessed me with a curse
like heroin but sometimes worse

Will this suffice?
My friend and I
You were so mad at me the past day
Now you seem so happy, how’d it go away?
You are now laid back and not so braced
Now you have a cute grin on your face!
We became friends; now greatly intimate
My friend, it was surely planned by fate!
You and I together on any land
Ever since I killed you where we stand
Oh! This place makes me reminisce
Memories of you giving me a hiss
Although you were perplexed of what I had
Shouting “No!” and that I’ve gone mad!
Chased you down and stabbed through your skull
With my still bloody knife that’s greatly dull
But now and forevermore since then
We will be friends; brothers; men
My friend and I
You were so mad at me the past day
Now you seem so happy, how’d it go away?
You are now laid back and not so braced
Now you have a cute grin on your face!

Lemonade
Do you remember the lemonade we sold?
We wanted to sell some lemonade
just how they do it in the movies.
We asked your mother to buy us oranges
and to help us squeezing them.
We added sugar and we added love
we had so much fun doing this.
We took some wood and built our booth,
we had some bruises all over our bodies.
We laughed so much, while we sat there
and waited for someone to buy our juice.
It didn't really taste like lemonade,
but that didn't matter, it sold very well.
We sat there for four hours and sold all of it.
Many people gave us a tip, we earned so much.
I still recall the amount we made, 27 $ and 50 cents.
So much money, enough to buy the whole world.
But not enough to have you stay with me.
Not enough for you to live on.
I still remember how bad it tasted, so sour.
We both drank it and then we wondered
how anybody could buy that.
One memory will never fade - the lemonade.

A Good Morning
When I awoke this morning
before opening my eyes
no smell of fresh dug earth greeted me
and I was quick to realize
this was to be a good morning
filled with ‘Hello’s’ and not ‘Good-byes’
Where soft green grass lay beneath my feet
and above my head, bright blue skies
there would be no need for tears
nor room for angry cries
only laughter would exist
and of course contented sighs
As I extended my gaze
I felt love swell from deep inside
for there on the horizon
a lone figure did arise
and although the distance was great
there was no mistaking friendships guise

Friendship
Never take anyone for granted
for seeds of friendship planted,
by true hands sown,
yield abundant love when fully grown

Tomorrow I'll Smile
Tomorrow I'll smile
Enjoying the sun
Enjoying friends
Enjoying family
Hope keeps me alive
Hoping to get that girl I love to notice me
Hoping to gain the confidence
The confidence to have her notice me
Notice me more that the guy who just stands at the back of the room
But for now all i want is to smile tomorrow
Tomorrow I'll smile
Enjoying the sun
Enjoying friends
Enjoying family
Hope keeps me alive
Hoping to get that girl I love to notice me
Hoping to gain the confidence
The confidence to have her notice me
Notice me more that the guy who just stands at the back of the room

cúpla focal
sometimes, words are meaningless
thrown about
like confetti outside a church
after a staged marriage
uttered, written, carved
no matter the format
they're just words in purgatory
cold, dead, but visible
other times
words uttered or written
are so strong
they can lift a million times their weight
and the author probably never knew
the words had muscles
in the first place
Go raibh maith agat, bhean álainn

Undivided
The heavens could open
And our bond still unbroken
The sky could split
And our connection won't quit
What we have is legit
That's why it still exist
It's real as fact
Non-fiction to be exact
Our pact is the truth
We're living breathing proof
That friendships are devine
And can stand the test of time
When the clock stops ticking
We'll still be clicking
We'll never be extinct
You and I are in sync
We've become one
Like the moon and the sun
Leading in shifts
Our love wouldn't drift
We're practically gravity
To each other
It occurs quite naturally
My brother from another mother
The heavens could open
And our bond still unbroken
The sky could split
And our connection won't quit

I really never could figure out how to write poetry about friendship and this probably going to suck but, nonetheless, this it to Caleb, my best friend "forever and a day".
Friendship of Broken People
By H. E. Riddleton
(Hannah E. Reed)
The illness is real
And you know it is real,
You know the dark,
Yet you let me not fear it.
You’ve seen my scars and I’ve seen yours.
I am ill and you beckon me a get well soon,
A hand to hold and a shoulder to cry, to laugh upon,
I almost die by the gripping of my own hand,
A blade improvised by gift from thus,
You visit me in the center I have trampled upon,
Hocked up and oh so empty from the deprive I see,
I crawl upon your lap, leaping, almost crushing your groin,
But still you cradle me as I sob or laugh into your shirt,
You let me skip and play as we admire cute guys from afar,
But no guy could compare to you, you are my number one.
Insiders and laughter, we’re both so screwy (and creepy too)
We’re Will and Grace, we need no Jack or Karen,
Just bowties and confetti to save us through.
Maybe a Toilet Cupcake to arrive to the rescue!
I want to take care of you, but you take care of me instead.
I look at you, I look at you.
Who knew, who knew?
My legs lay upon yours, you hold my hand,
The friendship of broken people can somehow be
Whole for oh so long and forever.

My Best Friend
I didn't have to talk
But, I could tell her anything
No conditions or expectations
Just a kindred who cared
At the end of the day
No questions or accusations
There was never a reason to do
More than support with a shoulder
Compassion from a soul I could
laugh with or cry to
Without remorse
I wish so often that it never ended
The infinite friendShip
that should never have died
Sucked through a crack pipe
But, I remember her real side
Her intelligence , her crazy ways
Her smile
I miss her all the time
Been so many years now
I can still see her eyes reflect
Sparkle behind the lighter
Hear the rock sizzle
Still feel my insides tremble and tighten
As she inhaled her nemesis
Burned our relationship
She put her head back and said she was flying
I bowed mine and started crying
She was my best friend
And she's gone forever
She was my best friend
and I miss her

My Best Friend
what use is a flame
that just won't burn
or something that you tame
then it turns
your a player of games
of which rules
you won't learn
you then refuse a place
I offer you to turn
.
Nor will you address
your shame
for upon yourself
you have
brought the blame .
I am sick of being
treat in this way
for all you do
is turn me away
.
I need to feed
from real fire
somebody who wont
pinch my soul
with pliers
I dont want to be told that
your cold and sold
to the
highest buyer.
What happened
to my best friend
I would of gave you my life
to lend
but instead
you left me for dead
then battered my spirit
took my heart and soul
with it
leaving me only
memories in my head
what ever happened
to my best friend .
