BABBLE
Stream of Babble
It's late but I won't sleep
until my head is heavy.
I can fix everyone else's
problems, but I struggle with my own.
Apparently, I have PTSD by proxy, which may
or may not make sense. Doc said it's
"Post Traumatic Stress Disorder" because
I'm witnessing my mother's deterioration.
"by proxy" because she hasn't died
yet.
People say it's difficult and how
I have a lot on my plate.
I say, I know, and I'm full up,
dammit. Is it my fault
it has manifested into this strange
malediction? Fucking cancer.
It reaches everywhere, and
beyond the patient, apparently.
It messes with my head, turns
my sense to mush.
So, it's like this. If I have
a headache, then obviously
it's a brain tumor. If I have
dry, scratchy eyes, I'm
going blind. If my energy
levels drop, it's
gotta be diabetes. Today
the doc said I have a
throat infection. Boy, was
last night fun, with all
the possibilities I imagined. Doc
gave me antibiotics and a bellyful
of good advice. I heard the
bit where he said
"Spend time with your
friends." I can do that.

Christmas tv is fucking with my head
two minutes ago
there was a great scene of snowed landscapes
and trees donned with lights
families holding hands
singing carols and laughing
at the silly looking snowman
now there's an African baby
screaming her little head off
because there's nothing in her mothers breast
to even wet her tiny lips
I'm sure they'll both wake up dead in the morning
or wish they were
I kind of wish they were too
not because I don't like them
or that I'm ashamed
but because I'd rather they die now
than have to go on suffering a minute more
with out any real hope of living
what might be classed
as a life
now there's an advert for Nerf guns
holy shit
the irony of this tv
would be laughable

The Curse was born in darkness.
drowning in a sea of emotion.
stretching and reaching round thy brain,
thoughts have over taken, so i go insane.
clasping uncertainty mesmerized by fears,
demons of the night take souls and tears.
Aware of the bottomless ocean below,
Frightened by the improbability of it all.
trapped in this mirror...of this drowning sea.
Each direction takes a pull at thy limbs.
screaming and chocking on emotional box.
Faint, faint, there is dark in its eyes,
screeching howls from numerous cries.
Giving our eyes,a floating world,
creating the many arms and legs of evil.
this cures darkens my spirit each day.
encased in the fetor of a hessian tomb.
slinking into tired,tissue-thin walls.
Faint, faint words scrambled in my head,
its to late know, your limbs are dead.
thy beautiful corps drown in a tunnel,
so thy lay in brittle walls..
thee equation boast humanity,
struggling as time picked up speed.
Faint, faint, my mind will lead,
tiring nots her limbs will bleed.
Faint, faint, my voice grew dry.
fading to nothing so she began to cry.

keeping our insanity to ourselves.
We play today,
seek tomorrow,
forget about yesterday,
we already paid those dues.
Who knew it would lead
to a place we did not come from.
More fun to find,

on the run again in
