            < looking up >

falling that first ten feet was the hardest
          after that
          it was all downhill
          twenty
          thirty
          fifty
          a hundred
          it really didn't matter
          as long as i kept
          that smile
          as long as i kept
          looking up

The morning mist,
The violet sky,
On yonder hill,
Does all hope lie.

Across the water,
Through the wood,
Was where the castle,
Once proudly stood.

Ashes to ashes,
Rubble to rubble,
Breaking down doors,
Won't be much trouble.

Rust on the hinges,
Cobwebs all around,
Dust that itches,
Fills a deserted town.

Echoes of laughter,
From children long gone,
A town full of sorrow,
I wonder what went wrong?

The wind carries the sound of crying,
The water,memories of their childhood,
The blood-soaked earth, cries of the dying,
Dead bodies slump against the bark of the wood.

Humans Disease

"....And then they sat back to reap what they did sow
A few years on we still don't know
Just where did Babylon go
Atlantis, Egyptians and the Mayans
Just what did these things follow?
Now the Earth is scorched and baron
Wastelands, fallen ruined cities
Crumbled dust clouds fill the sky
Weeping sun penetrates no more
life extinguished here for sure
Now an empty hollow shell
No fires deep in this hell
Oil burnt out long ago
Rivers ran dry altho
Canyons and craters do appear
Signs of a great ocean once was here.

They were informed to build the sky arks
But these humans never understood
They just never really asked
What would happen to their own brotherhood
If they carried on taking more then they should.

Imploding races, Armageddon traces
Nuclear and chemical war fare
They never stopped when Mother Earth was stripped bare.

Onwards to our next destination
Our mission at Earth is done for another year
Logged facts and completed experimentations
General, this is our only explanation."

The sky will pour out acid
Childeren will have nowhere to hide
You can't escape the end my dear
No matter how hard you may try

Dead flesh will crawl
Heartless souls will walk
Theres no way out, I've told you this
Start counting down the clock

You can't board up the windows
You can't drive away in your car
They will arise and you can't run
When they begin to march

A slow and sluggish movement
All jerky and supressed
They'll shuffle out of graves
Wearing their very best

Maggots will fall amongst them
Beetles in their eyes
Dirt between their teeth
And beauty.. Is that a surprise..?

Yes! The dead will hold beauty!
Magnificent and bold!
One we've yet to understand
One we can't withold..

Glassy eyed monsters
Or teary eyed sillhouettes?
Its all about perception.
Just don't get too close to them..

Tonight's the Night.

So tonight is our last?
And it goes unpunished?
Then why sit around?
If we'll all be abolished..

Paint the town red,
paint it with me..?
And if we go unrebuked,
we might like what we see.

It's pretty sick,
but we've all been hurt.
Now we can pay them back,
with the hate we'll exert.

Before the dead rise,
and we go up in flames...
Please have one night of fun,
that you can put in your name?

Because all your life's been
the end of the world.
So don't be afraid
to let that pain come unfurled.

And if tonight is the night,
our very last ever..
I think it's safe to say..
that I'll love you forever.

Celestial War

Flash of lightning
Roars of thunder
Titans clash
Over the thundery clouds
Beyond the blue
Beneath the light
Flashing through Eons past
They fight still

Warriors in wings
Over the sky they fly
Anti-them fly up
From the world beneath
They clash on mid-sky
Steels of silver
Flashing blue
with fiery flames

Swishes and cuts
Parry and thrusts
War among the stars
Between the invincible
Heralding the coming
Of the white
And the conquest
Of the dark

Roars, screams, warrior cries
The winds rushes
The eagle screams
The eyries are empty
The dragons awake
Wings of seraphs
Wings of legions
From dark domains

The world beneath
In deathly silence
Waits the end
With bated breath
The war in heavens has begun
Haloes and stars
Fire, blazing dusky light
Wait until dawn
Its Armageddon.

END

Ha, write a poem about the end of the world.
Honey, the world has already ended
Rather it was never there in the first place.
I'm sure we're already dead
Rather we were never even born in the first place.
I'm sure this is all just a figment of one of our imaginations
And it's process of elimination until we find out who.

Bombs will fall
But we won't feel anything.

Do not seek refuge in the places that I do,
Such places would do you no good.
This is all around me, It follows me there.
I am told it is not necessary to fear one's own kind,
Tell me, Do you?

Only animals, Broken in spirit,
Soil the place they eat and sleep,
I walk through your steel jungle,
I can not stand the stench of your filth,
The same filth that tars my lung, stains my teeth.

Do you feel free?
Do you feel like a once proud beast,
One tied, Drugged and placed in captivity.
You sleep in your own excrement.

I walk aimlessly, unburdened by map,
I walk amongst all this I can not escape.
I capture it on film,
Each morning, trying to seek beauty in this cage,

Still, It keeps me awake,
The spoken words, The sound of machines, The hum of neon - Like a thousand flies swarming around all this decay.
For me, No escape.

Do not seek refuge in the places I do, Such places would do you no good.

^Three of them
pointing a finger at me
like they know something big
is about to happen

& I'm certain it is....

So I'm off to the mountains
to bury myself
under as much bedrock as I can
while there's still time
before it hits

We have supplies for a year
maybe longer if we're careful
& six months if we're not

My hope is
there will still be poetry
shining somewhere
underground
when the lights come back on
in 2013

& may the fates be merciful
upon you all

With our last kiss
I realise what is happenening
Your eyes turn foggy gray
I'm stuck in your firm embrace
Your skin is cold and clammy
I try to pull away
You look at me, with lust in your eyes
I want to scream, but my voice is dead
You lean in, ready to kiss
And tear at my throat with a demonic hiss
Pain makes it course through my veins
I feel your disease taking control over me
You tear and and chew at my tender skin
The fever is about to kick in
I cry and sob ready to die
Your eyes are dead

end times

red skies
sledge ride
into mother nature's enzymes
the devil's dressed as a mime
saying revenge is mine
men who rhyme
tending mines
enshrined
with swelling eyes
chastised by alien guys
that dwell in grime
