Only Christians and mainly Catholics understand what the Seven Deadly Sins are...could you please explain this to people who are not Christian but are poets....

Seven Capital Sins

Pride
imprisoning emotions
masking scars
imprinting image
assassinating distance

Greed
unsatisfied gnawing
possessing desires
grasping abundance
endless devouring

Envy
infectious poison
unreachable focus
caressing illusion
coveting another

Wrath
internal rumbling
blinding mind
reasoning lost
created horror

Lust
carnal desires
unmindful fulfillment
animalistic desires
untamable beast

Gluttony
crippling intake
sickening consumption
empty satisfaction
destroying hunger

Sloth
idle energy
vacant dreams
deathly still
decomposing flesh

An older one...slightly modified for this competition

The Monster Within

My name is Envy
My eye's are of green
My skin's dull as darkest sky
My voice a constant scream

My heart will deafen like thunder
My hair hangs like clouds of black
My arms wrap fiercer than the winds
My legs give no sign of attack

My body is a tornado
My mind has great force
My fingers will burn you to the ground
My soul will have no remorse

Entice or dread

its smarting embrace
enveloping pure desire
it is avarice absolute
it wants the world and more.

swallow ceaselessly
and rot in the bowels
a gluttonous reprise
till everything is lost.

slump to indolence
lackadaisical sloth
unambitious ambitions
idly kicking the air.

ravenous hunger
ravaging the soul
undying lust
consumes us whole.

the blind eye
searching prejudice
malevolence and treachery
incorporate this envy

this wrath is eternal
suppressed till broken
enclosed in thorns
bleeding hate into oceans.

and finally one
the root of all evil
looks down upon them, cold
through eyes burning with pride.

"The Human Factor"
by:  Eric L. Boddie

The greatest mystery of Life
From beginning throughout until the end
There are points along the line
That we all submit to sin

Just think about it....

We're supposed to give Him The Glory
But have you ever bragged a little to much
We are not supposed to lust
But have you ever longed for another's touch
We are not supposed to hate
But how do you feel about people who hurt the kids
We are not supposed to envy
But have you ever wanted to be like someone in showbiz
We are not supposed to lie
But have you ever withheld the truth
We are not supposed to judge
But have you ever found yourself looking for proof
We are supposed to Love our neighbor
But have you ever rejected someone as a friend
And wrath is reserved for God
But have you ever taken some measure of revenge

The Word Says we are not worthy
Thats's the truth no man can deny
It's the human factor that makes us imperfect
But because of Jesus...we still must Try.....

I chose Lust as my deadly sin. Y'know, cause that's how I roll.

Exhibitionism.

I'll pretend, that when I dressed this morning
I didn't leave that revealing extra button undone
or wear that bra with extra push,
for you.

Of course, I refuse to confess that I forgot
to wear underwear beneath this dress
and certainly didn't choose those patent heels
for you.

I'll pretend these loose curls in my pagan hair
aren't framing my face,
accenting the playful pink lipped smile I seem to have
for you.

And I'll pretend that when I order coffee
and sit with crossed legs facing the crowd
that I certainly don't enjoy it
for you.

I'll pretend that sliding those shiny heels
against the back of my leg
doesn't feel like a thousand hands caressing my skin,
It's true -

And of course I'll pretend it doesn't turn me on,
that between my legs, exposed to air,
there screams the word 'Action!' beneath the table top
for you.

And I long to rip free from the confines of this cloth
and lay in the warm sun from the window
across the length of all these tables
for you,

and feel a thousand eyes burning me
as my fingers wander without hesitation
to the instinctual skin that shouts your name,
....i want you

The stored energy of a thousand frustrations
exploding like needles beneath my skin,
as my sinful heart quickens wildly
thinking of you.

And I no longer care for inhibitions
and when I shake with primal pride
I scream your name

For you
For you
For you.

A Poem 4 a Games Master/Mistress.

Sexy and sweet a real treat,
My Games Master,
Playing my lover when she's near,
And when she's far then I can dream,
About her love at only sixteen,
Stay cool my sexy one.
And have loads of fun,
hear and far away,
In sweetness we can play.

" The Lady General my lover "

Kissing you on your lips to set you alight,
Holding you close through a long night,
Your naked body touching mine,
Kissing your Clitoris all through time,
Your Vagina lips open to me,
So my tongue can lick deeper into thee,
Kissing each Nipple sucking each one,
And to look into your eyes as you cum,
Drinking your sweet honey on my lips,
and entering you first with finger tips,
Then sliding my cock into your Vagina,
And filling you with hot sperm,
And sleeping in your arms till we wake
and start all over till you quake,
My sexy general my lover,
Hear with me under the covers.
Love Eamon xx

(New entry)

LA

Her name was Envy
and not a moment too soon,
she stepped off the bus
and became unenviably insane.
She started a new life
with an understanding of trust
but Gluttony and Greed
became his perils of Lust.
One morning in bed,
her horoscope read,
“Too much Pride,
will kill you inside,
turn love into hate
and it shall hath no Wrath.”
She packed a bag,
a Taser and gun,
and left LA
without a moments delay.
Somewhere in a room
under a westward gloom,
a body rots, and just above his head
the bloody note read:  “Goodbye my pig fucking Sloth!”
