"Crossing the Rubicon"
by:  Eric L. Boddie

How did we arrive at this moment here
It actually doesn't matter to me dear
Because right now is all that matters
And not because my word power flatters
Tickles your fancy so to say
But because we engage in such a respectful way
Do we proceed because so much has been said
Without being pressured we have been led
The bed serves as a medium for our hearts to unite
Everything is perfect, it all seems so right
No second guessing from you, and by lust I am consumed
And add that to the smell of your sweet purfume
I am all in and ready to put our friendship on the line
I don't want to lose that, but in you girl I find
The thing that I have wanted for oh so very long
All of your clothes have exited your frame except for you thong
And before it falls to the floor, I want you to be sure
Just as I am that moving forward will be the cure
That allows both of our hearts to feel Love that everlasts
Without jeopardizing the strong friendship of our past
As we venture into known but unfamiliar fun
The moment is here and now....are you ready to cross the Rubicon....

Finaly...
we are here.
As time and space
Have ceased to exsist,
we have only The looming
horizon of the future ahead of us
As we wield our thoughts into
finely tuned instraments of creation

We are shaping our atmosphere with
our smiles and laughter,
we are materializing our substance
When we kiss
We are rewriting Our place in the
universe when we make love
we have played hide and seek
in Pandora's Box...
The Rubicon,welcomes this
Endless Journey.
only eternity lies ahead.

CROSSING THE RUBICON – THE POINT OF NO RETURN
“Alea iacta est” – “The die is cast”, said Caesar
I burned my bridges when I walked out of my job
I had taken all the bullying that a person could endure
My point of no return had come; I could not wait anymore
So I walked out of the Ivory Tower, never to return
I have never felt it was a mistake; it was freedom that I learned
Never be at the mercy of those who judge you unfairly
Never work for someone else for they hold your fate in their hand
Do not give your power away; this is a mistake for which many pay
This is one of the lessons I was sent to earth to learn
Never whore yourself out – for anything, for anyone, for money
Or for fame – be the master of your fate – by accepting
The fact that life offers no security and you can survive
More than you know – maturity is knowing
When it is the time to go.

These black clouds will not fade
This is the last choice people have made
Bright was this dream hazed
Everything was trapped in a light maze
Universal love within our last gaze
Weaved by political games
To posses all to be gained
We felt no pain
Together our suffering erased
Total loss nothing retained
We in these moments see our potential we are no longer insane
This known white doves inspire
But no way to indorse
No future

Knife on my hand
Pressed against my wrist
I am crossing the Rubicon
Tonight…

My hands sweat
Into my formal coat over A handsome surprise
Be fixed it could slip
Forget this sulphuring heat
I could swell with tears
In this moment for only remorse
I dream of the Ritz

She is sweet
Never mind what is near my hips
Just think of her lips
Those lustrous red finger tips
I chew on my last pip
I chase my eyes around peeled
I check myself this is real

I have always wanted to say this
She allows me wondrous A smile
I abide with a weighted breath
I wink

HANDS IN THE AIR
YOUR MONEY
OR YOUR LIFE

Forever rich

In a maze of roots-
squared and others-
trying to decide if
nature smothers!!
A hand outstretched-
A scar revealed-
Imagine-your life revealed
In chromosomal patterns.
You wait alone-
a silence unknown-
Agnostic in your plight
I would lie to
end your pain
give you my last-
to keep you sane-
How do I keep you
in my sight-
when you cross
the Rubicon each night!

Away you go,
I'm soon to follow,

With confidence you ran,
To cross the rubicon.
Your twinkle feet light in flight,
All smile, you are happy.
The bridge swirls around; the wind is blowing heavy,
Your smile turns to laughter,
As you've always been ready.
Alas you've crossed the rubicon tonight!

My time has come,
I am next to follow,

I put forth my right foot to start off my journey,
With a growl the wind blew; Swirling the bridge faster,
No foothold for me,
This signals disaster,
Apologising, I withdrew my right foot to my side.
Sorry Grace,
I am not crossing the rubicon tonight!
