A World where Shadows Chase Light

The world had turned upside down,
The once chipper begin to frown,
All that once made sense has taken flight
In a world where shadows chase the light.

The sky consumes the ground,
Light breaks to the shrieking sound;
Day raises hand and murders night,
In a world where shadows chase the light.

The sea begins to heavily bleed,
As the clouds come down and use it to feed;
Stars laugh from their safe height,
In a world where shadows chase the light.

Mothers turn, kill their young,
Not one eye can hold it's tongue;
The moon drops daggers just to spite,
In a world where shadows chase the light.

Mountains bow to the rain,
The wind drops tears full of pain;
The planets gather, as if contrite,
In a world where shadows chase the light.

Fire quivers from icy mutilation,
Hope hides in silent hesitation;
Worry laughs, eyes closed tight,
In a world where shadows chase the light.

Colors harmonize insanity,
Joy disregards humanity;
Grace bows to a demon's fight,
In a world where shadows chase the light.

No peace found, no peace in sight,
In a world where shadows chase the light.
Love humanized inhuman ends with giddy might,
In a world where shadows chase the light.

"Undeniable outcome"

What was it again

That image sketched in my head

The one that keeps me up in bed

Visions of a long foreseen end

When happiness comes and goes again

Living in a world where love is still dead

Word to the wise don’t believe all that is said

Hope is a myth just words to be read

The sadness will not mend

The cycle will still spin

A game shadow you cannot win

You may chase the light again and again

But the darkness you bear will always win

Yet knowing so I continue to live

Slit hate spilling red

Another day in which I've bleed

Pain scaled at ten out of ten

Flashbacks of the worthless life I've lead

Chasing a light I cannot get

Silhouettes

a candle glow
a soft lit room
a dance of love
a wife and groom

two shadows sway
two souls assigned
two frames as one
two lives combined

three day's of bliss
three times he seized
three hours more
three way's he pleased

two weeks she's late
two hearts now three
two months along
two love's conceive

a baby's born
a shadow made
a mom and dad
a new display

"Friendly"

This thin line
holding my breath
Between
Mortal lives
and the witness
of time

Mimic my moves
to prolong this
Embrace
Revolving in sequence
We race through
existance
Commanding displacement
as a way to admire

One wish for
Eachother
to Know their
perspective

Recalling
the other
Side

pretending to under
stand;

More than one
Life...

The dark clouds shroud my life,
when you are not here,
you are the sunlight I need,
to persevere.

If I could put what I'm feeling,
into words I would,
but I don't think I can,
all I know is I can do anything with you here.

To say my heart aches,
would be an understatement,
I can't bare to think what life would be like,
without you here.

You are the light
that will destroy the darkness
You are the light
that will save me.

Let me hold you,
and never let you go,
I'll be there for you,
I'll always let you know,
My devotion to you is eternal.

I'll be there for you,
to always let you know...

Shadowing You

I’m waiting here in the dark of night
Where darkening shadows chase the light
Hanging on to fraying threads
While glistening stars augment my dread

‘Cause time, you know, is running out
Of this fact, I have no doubt
With the deepening darkness of our betrayals
That left us broken and derailed

And you’re all I ever wanted
Now shadow puppets leave me haunted
Rerunning the scenes of our lives
Replaying our dreams and our lies

Tell me…
Do you remember the burning sun?
When our days where filled with love and fun
Do you remember the shadows creeping?
Before they left us cracked and weeping

Now I’m left alone and waiting
Where all our loving turned to hating
Chased away by unseen shadows
Driving us towards the gallows

Where we now hang, just you and I
Watching each other as we die
Tainted by a love so untouchable
Yet I can’t believe I’m that unlovable

So I’m waiting here in the dark of night
Where darkening shadows chase the light
Clinging onto these fraying threads
As you hang there, dangling, dead

Where Shadow Chases Light, Where Souls Know Bittersweet Delight

Where Shadow Chases Light,
Where I choose to take flight
Shadow solemn and deep in its humour
Chases after the flirting twirling light
Stern countenances banished
Baleful fires sparked to bright fireworks
Doom and gloom cast aside like new waste
Light smiling heels radiate dance
This is where I take a chance
New power forged in overcast forges
Metal souls of midnight-sun-shower-shine
Stronger Titanics rise from the brine
Oxymoron astronauts plant Utopian flags
While ungendered armies cast off rags
And riches, and all become something more.
Where shadow chases light
Holding out its balloon-light bouquet torch
While encloaked light daydreams on the porch
Just before their millisecond aeon-felt, dawn touch
Where all things become so multifacedly such.
Where Shadow Chases Light
Where Souls Know Bittersweet Delight.

Where Shadow chased Light

The broken veins allow me to crawl
upon your crumbling oak floor
and leave a trail of squatter's scum.
My nose is a gaping wound
and my arse burns after slashing with blades,
your name is now engraved there.
Shadow draw the curtains
and I will fall into bed,
a little Light hidden in your arms.
My head is pounding
as if I am not dead inside,
just falling
and falling
and sleeping.
As if I am tied to your starry eyes
by rose-tinted glasses.
Where is Papa's Light
and Mama's little faith?
The Lord cannot save it now,
only bring me home
on a bed of flowers,
from needles I inject
between toes
and
stare me down
with words
reminding us
of my Light.
An epilogue
of life,
most extraordinary,
where the darkest Shadow chased a little Light
and the foolish Light embraced it.
