Capricorn

1+6=7
7 is God.
16 is Hell.
I'm on fire.
Extinguishing the pyre.
With a name, 5,
Freedom of self.

Escape reality.
Take on, duality.
Achieve the manor,
Of wisdom and filth.
A snake in your garden.
Truths that harden,
A heart of energy.
A world that was built.

Always on fire.
Out of the ashes.
Higher and higher.
No cycle can break me.
I'm out of this world.
Life's a satire.
Too much work, and no hires.
Too much weight on my shoulders,
Just for a girl.

My moods keep on cycling.
Melancholy; deciphering.
Am I just here to make you smile?
Just a joke; I'm inviting.
No bad karma I'm denying.
Just riding the wave,
Of a tilt-a-whirl.

Alone at the top.
Horns to stab those who loft.
Fins to swim to my sanctuary.
Inside a gift shop.
That I have to mop.
Because God gave too much props,
To Mother Mary.

Another Pan in the Face.
Those who don't undertake.
Those who laugh at what they don't understand.
Are on their knees,
Begging me for eternity.
I'm the God,
Reaching towards their hand.

AfterSexDilemma, thanks for an emboldened Cardinal submission!

Look at all this masculine, cardinal energy amassed! Not surprising!

Dualities:

Feminine: 3
Masculine: 7

Quality:

Cardinal: 7
Fixed: 1
Mutable: 2

Element

Fire: 2
Earth: 2
Air: 4
Water: 2

I love how firmly the 'fixed' are standing! Keep'em coming!

Scorpius

What is to give light must endure burning.
~ Victor Frankl

Poems like this are thought dangerous
born of blood, bone
 and scorched-feathers
 of smoldering ash
   stirring the heat
   striking the sweat
before spreading wings
to ascend

Dig up an underworld
  of hidden truth
beneath the rock of its heart
because poems
like this are thought dangerous
their eyes turning
  to the sun
surrendering
  earthen words
weathered by war
  following the flight-path
  of birds

There is a poisonous telson
attached to our body
  howling
  for release
because poems
like this are thought dangerous
born of a deep-water womb
  they did not create
but chose nonetheless

Cinder and ocean-drops
glisten together
  upon a hard-shelled back
a shatter of a soul thought dangerous
  crawling into the dessert
meeting the cactus
whose sting burns
  as its own
but petaled bloom
  submits to the sun

We are the in-between
neither cardinal nor mutable
  but fixed passion and desire
an arachnid life
destined for the pyre

You may think
a Poem like this is dangerous
when the only true taste
of freedom
is to fearlessly walk
through a probing portal
 of burning flesh to reincarnate
   a phoenix

but any bloom
will turn back its face
          only once
to confirm

No. . .it's truth

before being burned
at its own stake by the sun
  reincarnating from a seed
  it birthed

This is not an entry! I couldn't stand "fixed" being so obstinately fixed, nor the feminine getting walked on!

"Scorpio"

Red November of Chrysanthemum born

Heralded under desire's thorns

Seeking the chyrsalis tear

Ascendency of the suzerain's lair

Of water bewitching and transfixed

Sign above blazing and fixed

Binaural creation keys

Sacred sounds that aim to please

Stingers path where dark secrets breathe

Of what shall fate weave?

Eighth house reigns with silent might

A symbol shadowed in its own light

Thank you! I was born on the 16th and I have 6 letters in all 3 of my names. So I love this kind of stuff!

666 is one of the most misunderstood and feared numbers in history. But anyone with any knowledge of Greek or Latin ( or both ) would understand it was a coded message.

It's actually considered lucky in Asian culture, and as an Angel number signifies a spiritual journey. You should look into numerology if such interests you.

Numerology was the beginning of my poem lol 6 comes from a symbol used before letters were invented. The 3 crosses or the holy trinity.

Yes, I noticed your focus on numbers. I meant like study/teach if it's your passion, because passionate teachers who love their craft are needed in today's times.

Hi, Liziantus-Marantus. Thank you for your entry; however, I don't believe that it qualifies for this competition. The guidelines require you write a poem about your astrological sun-sign. This is a lovely poem, but it's more observatory regarding the stars than a sun-sign.

You're more than welcome to replace it with one that meets the guidelines.

Aries

Spin the astrology wheel
see where the compass points
I’m not the star of one thing
more of a mixed bag of several joints
Django unchained born Aries off the cuffs
I missed the cusp by 4 days
Known as passionate and emotional
I’ll knock you down in 4 ways
Or albeit Ram in 4 waves
calculative known to rock a few ships
A battle plan in mastered hands
is how the horns stay equip
Headstrong response quick as a whip
integrity towards weak to protect
Of all celestial signs first
to gain respect no chin checks
Only cache on my books
tightly slid in bound shoulders
Crowned passionate with my stinger
clawed folding Scorpio over
Touch deep in poem I’m a grower
then afterwards a meat show’er
King in small circle of goers
in periods of dominance I belong
Else repeated to submission
I’ll speak the point till it's gone
Aggressive clash of the Titans
mistake the pen when I’m writing
Script in infamy those reactions
from heads roiled reciting
Better, heads rolled from fighting
but I left Alice to that
Winning grin big as the zodiac
fading from Cheshire cat
