Trading In
Goodbye.
I’ll definitely be meeting you again.
Trouble could be in your name.
From what I know and how you’ve acted it’s not usually for me.
But somehow can we meet again?
Through mutual friends we could be properly introduced.
True.
What is true is how I end up where you are.
Tell me what you hear from my voice.
Leaving.
You stopped to make sure it was me.
Didn’t you?
I saw you stop.
Frozen to vent or get somewhere.
Not really into those dramas so I ignore that and just focus on your beauty.

Lost Love Letters
I started writing you a letter
But, then I changed my mind.
Coz when all is actually said and done,
Nothings really healed with time.
Was going to tell you of my day
And how much life has changed;
Since you’ve got nothing to say to me
Now your feelings rearranged.
I could pen the absence blistered,
As I sit amongst the trees;
I got out for a walk today,
I know you would be pleased.
Poor baby girl she struggles,
Misplaced her zest for life;
Think the loss of her big brother
Keeps twisting the knife.
Did you know I’m having therapy?
I know you’ll smile and say bout time.
But you’d never know the trigger was
Coz, you’re no longer mine.
Sometimes I can’t get out of bed,
I lose entire days...
Motivation? mostly ebbs,
What’s the point anyways?
Can imagine your mouth push up
Reading that last line
Growling “manifest your own luck!
All things heal with time”
Think that’s what I’m missing most today,
The way you used to care.
You’d never have left me here this way
Alone. Broken. So scared.
Well I’m signing off now, my love, it seems
My pen pushed on without me.
I’ll wait for you within my dreams,
Sincerely yours? Devoutly.
Xxx

Rosetta's Stone
He found a beautiful stone formerly owned by Rosetta
Now his dome can conform to her love language better
When he first met her, he didn't quite understand
All that loving that woman would ultimately demand
Now they stand hand in hand journeying together
Not always seeing eye to eye but every day gets better
Like Correta, she's a Queen and he's her loving King
Praying for longevity cause love's the greatest thing
Both bring baggage that they're trying to unpack
Discarding garbage that they've held on their backs
No longer holding back from giving their all to each other
What GOD joined together they'll let no man put asunder

A Dream
In this stillness,
This early morning bed
The diamond bright stream,
Bent through double pane
Reaches across me
To lay on you.
Your back turned
To it's touch,
I trace the lines of light
With my fingertip brush.
Seconds move and shift
On your landscape,
As I feel time.
We float and drift,
In and out of sleep.
On this cloud
Of white sheets, duvets and feather pillows
To cradle our heads.
Can we stay like this?
Shifting your body to my spoon.
Feel my arm wrap
Your chest, your hand
Reaches folding into mine.
Our pieces fitting,
Locking into place.
Please, stop time.

Big Sky
Tonight, it's just me.
Watching dusk skies
Purples, pinks
Blackening blues.
Little lights
Punching through.
Brighter now,
Brighter still.
Gravity reversed
Like I'm the only one
Under it
Falling.
All thoughts turn
To you
Under your skies
Are you falling too?
Watching dusk skies
Purples, pinks
Blackening blues.
Little lights
Punching through.
Brighter now,
Brighter still.
Gravity reversed
Like I'm the only one
Under it
Falling.
All thoughts turn
To you
Under your skies
Are you falling too?

Still
My love was but a notion;
his shadow was bare.
He arose from the sweetest hurt
as I saw him shining there.
His voice was merely silent,
so much I barely heard
the melody my heart could play
as he uttered no words.
Yet high atop a grassy hill
my mind did run so wild;
his verdant voice was everywhere
and to this dream I held:
that where he waits, I too shall go
over rough terrain, deliberate, slow.
Each step I’ll find and make with ease
as kindly at my back a breeze.
Though this life is arduous,
‘tis every cup unfilled,
I wait alone, no dream unturned
or lost to my love;
I hear him still.
