Downtown Diptych

From Eleventh floor
traverse the obscure urban valley 'tween towers
linger awhile in the shady rooftop Eden
then up, up into the gray, white, and blue afternoon sky

Twenty five panes over, three panes down
fluffy white clouds, blue peeking through
portrait of sky on mirrored canvas
three story easel

My sky

Shreds of torn blush-red,
shake dusk over parched crops,
open seed heads, sway
violet from a final sun.

layered above the valley's canvass
this dark-blue looks back,
as night sketches lines of black
on abstract thermals.

SKY ODESSA

"In the Deep Azure Skies"...
Is a hidden sea in disguise
Swimming through are fish birds
"Mermaids Glide Backwards"...

"Smooth Art in Pastels"...
The clouds share their trails
To the creatures secret Sky Odessa
"Lucent's Oceana"...

The Sky's Beauty

Painted like a picture
The sky reminds me of better times.
The stars twinkle like magical chimes,
But the sky will never waiver or flicker.

Gone are all of yesterday’s sorrows.
We only focus on the present moment
As the sky is the world’s bestowment.
There is tomorrow.

AM to PM

Like a warm blanket
The satisfying scene of serenity
Captures a timelapse of seven seagulls
Covered in orange

All is quiet for a distant plane
Turbulence shuddering the forgotten puddles
Confiding the seagulls it's safe to fly
Sunrise to sunset

Twilight Sky

Rising for the day
Over cloudy fields of cotton
A sliver of light points the way
As the dark has been forgotten

Twilight colors shine bright
Painting the ceiling in pastel hues
It’s not day, it’s not night
Just a lovely view

nightly sky

this moment, i gaze
as the flurries filter my haze
this night above as the sky lights
holding back what frights

fullness of her grace
in her constant pace
a clearing to see, now she,
can peer upon me

I will look up into the sky to see if anyone or creatures are out in space
