22. Erotica : Write an erotic poem using the following words as prompts: moth balls, pork rinds, mint juleps, peanut butter and bran muffin. Why? No matter what, it's bound to turn out better than most erotic poetry!
Carnal Satiation
I adore you and must see you
as time and my lust
cannot wait
or be contained,
let me ply my truth
in those hills I long to climb,
those mountains I yearn to mount
for I am a moth to your flame
burning brighter than any mothball
inflamed and ablaze,
desiring and aspiring
to add frosting
to your beautiful bran muffins
aching to start baking
as more than the yeast has already risen.
With skin silkier softer than
sweet sultry peanut butter
I am the jam too add with a bam
to make the exclaim goddamn,
as my lust to yours is so entwined
even as I dream of your hind;
so much reverie in the derriรจre
such delicious delights
beyond any paltry pork rind,
that the mind wanders
but the tongue drools
prompting moisture for all involved.
You are my waters of life;
as cool as any mint julep
fiery as any tequila
and all the more pleasurable
when going down
even if I drown
in those hips that would
launch a thousand ships
and those lips that can eclipse
the very stars in their radiance
as we undulate
in our own physical cosmology
to shake the heavens and earth,
all that as prelude and harbinger
for the following performance
if you would but open up
and let me in.

30. The Poem Factory : Write about a so-called eccentric genius who mass produces poetry in his ginormous factory filled with amazing technological gadgetry that unfortunately churns out poems with no originality.
Post-poet Production.
Greased gears grind as gummed up with gregarious grammar
stammering in rhyming time to the hammers of keys,
clicking in chittering chattering clattering of characters
in order to unload more unnecessary excessive essays
that can hardly be called hardy poetry.
Although mostly harmless, are definitely artless
fathered by the fearsome poem factory
churning out copious catalogues of compositions
drowning the daring delver in deranged descriptive dialogues,
each word brings an inch of woe without originality
passages and packages of plagiarism
to put off even the most muse filled budding poet,
as the caches of clichรฉs are slaves to the stale style
pounded out in punctual presentation
too boring to even bring irritation.
Steam powered pistons providing the least steamy erotica
mindless mechanisms making mundane metaphors
radioactive robots organising inorganic obvious rhymes:
a true warehouse of horrors
thanks to the lyrical and linguistic errors
of an eccentric inventor
now ex-inhabitant and deceased
interred within their overseeing office
a stiff skeleton watching successive sheets or sordid sentences
rushing onwards with empty intent
as empty as the skull and skill
still grinning as the gears grind and groan
wearing faded competition medals on now bare bones
but still the factory functions even as the initiator is an ex-poet
the eerie epilogue only gets longer
and the groaning gears get louder.

Many thanks to Johnny for the list of prompts, which I almost always followed, it really helped with the NaPo Competition. Do not envy whoever is on that panel of judges, too many great poems to weigh up, at least my flood of entries makes me exempt from that task!

Hey! Half dem prompts is mine too ya know! Seriously, we worked for 6 hours straight one Sunday afternoon creating them! Then went back and forth a week revising between Us before we let Webmiss review them!
Twas a labor of Love, so we're happy you enjoyed 'em! ๐๐

Yes, my fault, I do remember it being said that is all thanks to the two of you that the entire prompt list was conceived. Shows that two heads/hosts are better than one!

You were more than right about that part!
Don't envy us! Pray for us! LOL!
We're chugging along around everyone's schedules, Poets. We should have a decision by week's end. ๐โ

And it's UNANIMOUS, Folks!
The trophy goes to Lord Viddax!
Well done, Viddax! You went over and above on those prompts!
I'll message Webmiss to award your additional trophy.
Well done, everyone!
Oops! Edit: A special thank you to the judges assisting me: MadameLavender and rowantree.
We wanted to keep it in the NaPo family by asked a few who didn't post in this comp.

Congratulations, Viddax! Youโve come a very long way from a year ago. You were unsure till you made it to the finish in 2017. My hopes for you soared when you returned to test yourself again... as a seasoned, stronger poet warrior! Proud of you.๐๐๐

Hooray all that hard work and bloody sacrifice to the poem gods..... I mean dedication to making poems based off the prompts, really paid off. Once again I cannot express how much I owe to Jade and Johnny for the prompts. Especially the prompt to post prompted poems here! Kudos are also in order for the stiff competition.
(NaPo 2019 is going to quite a feat what with my personal masochism of raising the unique word count each year, and 2018 setting the bar so high! Oh well, onwards into the infinity of poetry.)
