Love Poems
Miles
I shall tell a story.
Something good coming out of something bad.
Love coming out of a broken heart.
Possible?
You would think not.
But it is, I know.
I lived through it and am here to tell the tale.
So let us begin.
I was dating a girl.
Convinced I was gay.
Believing she was the one.
And we would be together forever.
But then I met him.
And everything changed.
He loved me.
I started falling for him.
She grew jealous.
But instead of holding tighter.
She pushed me away.
And in his arms I found comfort.
I was the cheater.
Kissing him, while dating her.
What was I suppose to do?
Break up with her-- No.
Stop talking to him-- Out of the question.
So the day after my birthday.
She blew out our flame.
Wrapped me up like a present, with a bow and all.
And gave me to him.
She broke up with me.
And gave me to him to date.
She broke my heart.
And then gave it to him to fix.
Her secret plan to get me back,
for me to choose her over him.
Sadly failed.
He won me.
Says he didn't try.
If that is the case,
then he won me hands down.
And we're both happy with things this way.
And so here's the truth.
Proof that one can grow from a bruise.
He gives me what she gave up on.
He loves me and tells me all the time.
And he's all I need.
Instead counting the time that he spends with me.
The time that we've been together.
Cause I don't even know.
I don't count the smiles.
I don't count the tears.
I don't count the disagreements.
I remember what him and I are trying to do.
I don't count the miles.
I count the "I love you's.

I love the inspiration of your prettiness when I write
I love cuddling with you on a cold winter's night
I love how beautiful you are my honey, to adore
I love each day when I fall in love with you more.
I love knowing honey, you're truly forever mine
I love your warm soul, with our heart's entwined
I love how two heart's lead us to our true destiny
I love you truly honey, forever and endlessly

Those dark and lonely nights
You wishing it'll be alright
As the happy times slowly go out of sight
You cry and cry
Screaming why oh why
Looking up and you sigh
Trying to find that shooting star in the sky
The arguing, it hurts
Their actions make you divert
Your life is now on alert
Afraid of the next phrase your love'll blurt
But you know theres good inside
You're scared but you will never hide
Even when the the planets start to collide
Love will always bring you back to their side...
