Ode To Morrison

A black clad leather demon claiming to be the lizard king
Mr. Mojo Rising up on stage dancing in the summer rain
Doors are infinitely open to perception as he starts to sing
While young people bare witness to a world gone insane

Strange people are taking random drives in the moonlight
Ready to break on through waiting to reach the other side
A ceramic frog with a peace sign hanging over love street
While the city sleeps the truth is hidden in this soft parade

A simple ode to Morrison to reflect his influence on me
He taught me that powerful words can set the truth free

Rivulets

A silver glint of a sharper edge
Impatient as fuck for a river to dredge
Trembling fingers and expectant breath
"I swear on my life it won't lead to my death"
I just want it to hurt, so I turn the blade
I rip my skin open and let myself fade
It's agony; keeping my thoughts from that bliss
Months may have passed, but you're certainly missed
I miss it so much, my skin sings for the pain
But I cannot succumb, lest my bedsheets get stained
I have a reason to live, but I'd still like to die
For fucks sake, it's been so long since I've cried
Rivulets, rivulets come back to me soon
Just help me hide it, at least until noon
I can't stand the sun, they will send me away
Okay. Fine. I can wait another day.

Ode to Patti Smith

When I heard the line
Jesus died for somebody s  sins but not mine
I knew Id be chanting G l o r i a forever

Just how she would ignite the stage with her mere presence
in an microscopic microphone Patti sings to me
orphic oracular oracle
we salute you!

my best friend and I wear white muslin dresses
hazed hindsight wailing from each scene
Dancing barefoot,

synthetic sawdust falls as we know
her soul sings
sinks into
our soles

horses
horses
horses

I get payed to speak so I speak
says Patti at a live show
where crowds yell

Speak Patti speak
Break it up!
let us find coral sea weeds

Ode to Nico

ein stimme bist du nicht
vielleicht ein frau
die durch
Das wald weint
zwichen meine traumen
,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
a voice you are not
perhaps an equivalent
of a woman weeping
keening forests in
and between my dreams

through open voids awakenings escape
finding fossils from your throat
invoking all that lies imbedded

In your lap I lay
sing me your lullabies
show me there is
dignity
yond grief
in death

knowing
ethereally
all emptiness
has sacred
purpose

An Ode to GG Allin

Born as Jesus Christ Allin in 1956
Known for his wild antics, most people thought were sick
During the late 70's his interest grew with Punk Rock
Began releasing albums, stripping, showing off his cock
These performances gained him infamy
People flocked to see his bursts of violence & hostility
Self-mutilation, defecation, smearing shit on the audience & himself
Arrested 36 times, analyzed, they said he didn't need any help
Challenged complacency, pushing the boundaries, embracing disorder
Rebellious, earned a cult like following, albums sold through mail-order
Abused alcohol and drugs, and had a deep dissatisfaction with society
Pushing his own limits, getting out his message was his priority
Appearances on Geraldo, Jane Whitney and Jerry Springer in 1993
Died of a heroin overdose that same year, leaving a mark on the underground music scene

Banksy brushed my canvas

The world waits, half in anticipation
the public like me wonder?
while others empty their aerosol cans
in futile tags. Banksy waits in the wings to pounce
lifts the corner of the carpet where the dirt is swept.
The message: it pricks, lifts the lid on the squirming worms
starts the awkward and difficult dialouge.
A teacher, his art said a thousand truthes
held the mirror to our narssasistic life style
I pause a second, the art on a grubby wall
is it the reflection of my identity, my life
profiled, exposed? by that anonymous talent.

Ode to Heilung

prehistoric findings have indicated that proto Germanic
was an actual official language though not of words
Sound was a first language perhaps elementally reflection
shaping reshaping like stone mason hands each rock

heart
dearth

an open cairn where I see the musk moist
in garments beholding nearing night
I sit sink beguiled I listen, Earth o Earth

in foster waters
gestating narcoleptic moon

surrounded by balm

deepening each pore
alone I am not

within an asteroid
amplified

"Masters of Madness and Faith"

Hail to thee, O weavers of dread
Whose words invoke the sacred dead!
Masters of void, where reason fails
And stars are veiled by shadowed veils

To thee, O scribes of the ancient scroll
Who chart the depths of the human soul
With trembling hand and fervent plea
Daring to glimpse eternity

Saintly seers, thy cosmos vast
Show truths that shatter, futures past
Esoteric hymns, thy whispers sing
Of kings uncaring and mad beings

And thee, theologians cloaked in prayer
Who wrestle angels in despair
Thy quills have carved on sacred stone
The chasms where all light hath flown

Together ye walk, in darkened light
Through terror’s maw and faith’s fraught night
May ink and blood forever blend
To ponder truths that know no end

Ode to Pessoa's Multiple Poems

Oh Pessoa, master of masks and souls,
who unfolds in multiple verses,
in each heteronym, a universe,
in each poem, a new being.

Alberto Caeiro, shepherd of the fields,
with simplicity and wisdom,
describes nature in its purity
and teaches us to see the world with clarity.

Ricardo Reis, serene epicurean,
with his odes of calm and resignation,
celebrates life with measure and reason
and invites us to live with moderation.

Álvaro de Campos, sensitive engineer,
with his eagerness and modernity,
explores the pain and euphoria of the city
and reveals to us the soul in its intensity.

And you, Fernando, the orthonym,
who finds yourself among so many,
you are the synthesis of all selves.
Poet who multiplies himself in himself.

Oh Pessoa, you and your genius
show us that we are many in one.
That the human soul is vast and infinite
and in each one of us is a poet awakening.

Tina Turner

She did not ask for the life
She was given
Looking like the woman and man
Who decided their life
Was more important

Grandma to the rescue

She did not choose the
One she loved
It hit her like a freight train
Never derailed
Controlled and rolled on
Seeing his goals

Who can save her now?

She did not ask for Talent.
The only saving grace in
Her existence
The children go
The friendships die
The love beaten out of her
Leaving marks that can't hide

Hope all but gone

When she finally asked
Who am I and what am I supposed to be
We were given this butterfly with amazing wings
We never know what life will bring
Ode to tina turner and how she sings
