Trying to play in the sudden snowstorm at the landfill today but they eventually made me do some work, having to salt roads and store equipment and such. So much for FoF. Aw, shucks. Yay for safety, though.
Hope everyone at the DUP is having a great new year! (Even though it's not really 'til April) ((because it's dumb to start the year at the beginning of a rest cycle, but I that's probably just me))

My sweet daughter surprised me with my favorite spice cake w/cream cheese icing tonight, made in my mother's dish, which I had passed down to her a few years back.

Interesting question. I tend not to dwell on how I am in any given moment. The answer is usually "waiting for a better moment"
But something about the darkness of January is so disheartening.

The sun is brilliant today and it's 2° above freezing, so it's just lovely outside. Completing a natal chart today after lunch and will actually be a bit ahead of work.

It's pouring rain here, but my scarf is ready! And, ironically, it's yellow. xo
"Tonight is St Brigid's eve so don't forget to leave a cloth or scarf outside to be blessed by the saint as she passes. Known as a 'Bratog Bride' in Irish folklore, this special garment can then be used as a cure for headaches or sore throats."
Brigid is said to walk the earth on Imbolc eve. Before going to bed, each member of the household may leave a piece of clothing or strip of cloth outside for Brigid to bless. The head of the household will smother (or "smoor") the fire and rake the ashes smooth.
In the morning, they look for some kind of mark on the ashes, a sign that Brigid has passed that way in the night or morning. The clothes or strips of cloth are brought inside and believed to now have powers of healing and protection.
