Headstone
She closed her eyes and smiled for the last time
She lived a life she was meant to and put it to rhyme
Some of it went as plan
Some of it was a mystery out of her hand
When she held you, you knew love
You knew honest emotion
You knew her
She lived a life to make others smile
Even when hers faltered or was hidden from sight
She wants you to remember her for a while
When you feel the warmth of the sun
In a break in the storm
When all is unraveled, and your best intentions are undone
She is holding you to make you smile
That is her (a smile)
She lived a life she was meant to and put it to rhyme
Some of it went as plan
Some of it was a mystery out of her hand
When she held you, you knew love
You knew honest emotion
You knew her
She lived a life to make others smile
Even when hers faltered or was hidden from sight
She wants you to remember her for a while
When you feel the warmth of the sun
In a break in the storm
When all is unraveled, and your best intentions are undone
She is holding you to make you smile
That is her (a smile)

Acceptence
I gently
traced...
each scar
visible
and invisible
kissing her lips
for each one
accepting
those scars
and her
the only way
i know
with my heart
traced...
each scar
visible
and invisible
kissing her lips
for each one
accepting
those scars
and her
the only way
i know
with my heart

Oh, my delirious putti,
why do you shy from rhyme?
Why do you shy from beauty
in syllables that chime?
Do they magnify desire
beyond your mortal ken,
or seconds that transpire
you'll never see again?
These are but scanty barriers,
like sky when wing beats pass,
whereby so many harriers
find sustenance in grass.
A valid rhythm waits for thee
to bear you on its wave,
away from base depravity...
when peace is what you crave!
why do you shy from rhyme?
Why do you shy from beauty
in syllables that chime?
Do they magnify desire
beyond your mortal ken,
or seconds that transpire
you'll never see again?
These are but scanty barriers,
like sky when wing beats pass,
whereby so many harriers
find sustenance in grass.
A valid rhythm waits for thee
to bear you on its wave,
away from base depravity...
when peace is what you crave!

Manifest Destiny (Collab with Fia Naturie)
So long I have waited for your return
I have much to teach you, are you willing to learn?
I can show you how to remove the decay
Assemble the pieces that are in disarray
Wait... wait.... wait, just a bit
Need a minute to come to terms with this shit
Not easy to give up what used to be home
This darkness inside is all that I have known
Its all you have known, but theres so much more
Take hold of my hand and Ill pull you ashore
I know that you're cautious and lacking in trust
I will walk alongside you while you adjust
I am just supposed to let this happen, let this be?
Take your hand? Do you know me?
Do you know who I am, and what I have done?
You with your light, make me want to run.
I know who you are, I have always been near
The darkness is not the reason you're here
I Held back the trigger while you stared down a gun
You've been stuck in one place no matter how much you run
You’re the reason I’m still on this earth?
I don’t know if I should yell, scream, or kiss the dirt
I had pain, I had grief and I had sorrow
You are telling me no matter what you will be here for me, tomorrow
You have to know darkness to appreciate light
The pain and suffering prepared you for the fight
Its made you unbreakable, look back and you'll see
The darkness was never your shield, it was me
I am gonna put my faith in you, this one-time
The last time I put faith in anything was in mankind
I am lifting my hand, taking yours with a quickness
I’m going to believe what you said I'm stronger than the darkness
Then let us now begin to claim what is yours
To manifest the destiny of so many wars
As we walk hand in hand, unhindered, unchained
You will reap the reward that has long been ordained
I have much to teach you, are you willing to learn?
I can show you how to remove the decay
Assemble the pieces that are in disarray
Wait... wait.... wait, just a bit

wildling in captivity
it blows my mind sometimes
the vastness of a soul
& how much it contains
a universe in a fragile shell
like an egg carrying life
so easily destroyed
I've consigned mine to nature
a connection deeper than I can express
the one space in which I fit...
...with all my imperfections & scars
it's so hard to find belonging elsewhere
all those beautiful faces & bodies
all toned & painted
I...
...am a craggy surface stone
beauty only found upon opening
& I look at trees with their gnarly knotted bark
twisting trunks & rugged branches
rivers raging & gentle streams
forest creatures going silent whenever danger approaches
it speaks to me
...in the tongue of ancients
& I know...
...I'm home
this battered spirit within me
given into my safekeeping
I return it to its rightful place as often as I can
always seeking to heal from the damage life has inflicted
because humans are most inhumane
the cruelty done is deep & profane
but I think of the rock dropped into a river
where tumultuous currents batter it's rugged being
& how beautifully polished it will become
like the pebbles daddy used to run through the tumbler
making them shiny & new
I want to be where I belong...
...in the arms of Mother Nature
soothing my soul in her presence
hoping to one day reintegrate
releasing it back into the wilds
knowing it's strong enough...
...to survive on its own

We had her Eden; I had my Eve;
and we had the Strawberry moon
who by a solstice would conceive
something like a glory typhoon,
and though she rose and travelled slow
it was to help the longest day
maintain its magic polar glow...
with summer's newest lunar ray!
It was all a glory hard to ignore
but one that every headstone gets to see
should the weather allow them to adore,
heaven, in its laurel magistracy...
as if to echo our honeymoon years
and blunt the sting...of cemetery tears.

Wild Nectar
Ever-amber horizons
Reflection of my mind
Aqua dances at my feet
Dances through me
Honeysuckle notes
Buzzing sweetness
Balmy twilight breeze
Envelop me
Confetti petals
Yellow, white, and pink
Impart their aether
As they stick to me
Summer
Paint me
In exquisite
Wild vivacity

Upon the Thistles Of Adam’s Sacred Head
Archangel Michael the time of spiritual evolution has come for you to reveal who I am and what contributions I added unto Heaven
Divine relics within my heart, encased by the number, eleven
In the year of killing fields, blood will pour as never before
Expert implanted technology and manmade wars
Most will be asking what lies beyond the stars
Only the spirituality of your minds gets you past Mars
The battle was to denounce malevolent out the third Heaven into the abyss
Upon the scrolls laminated by the Supremes High’s wish
Reopen your eyes, cries will pierce thy ears
Food shortage, no medication quells, deprivation ruled and manmade your fears
Your government has controlled your fingers, your intellect gigabyted, to move even slow
Behind a vial of the words, hearts concealed behind a glass, spews the lyrics of lust, love, sloth, we daily sow
And our national integrated intelligence, has made hate feaster at the fingertips even faster,
to go with the flow
In The Beginning
Let the truth be known from the scrolls of Heaven
Not written by the begotten hands of time, centuries wagging of false myths twenty-four seven
I was molded from the same clay to follow the ordainment bestowed by divinity's first man
Blessed over from the nostrils of the Creator, as to be subservient, obedient to the superior of his command,
By the natural laws of spiritual govern where the man’s loins rule where he stands
One voice, we were to be two hearts
Conjoined by the mind, body, from the sunrise in the Garden of Eden until midnight as the stars blanket the skies after dark
My pulsate quickens when the first man came unto me
I was chosen by the Creator unto my King to roam Heaven to share the air with the birds, the water with the schools of fish, and Earth, to see the pollination of the bees
Divinity in the food we had partaken to the lips as we ate
Love touches to our virginal skin, lust concealed in his eyes, soft caresses in our whispers, the moments brewing in the winding of our unsuspected fate
Mm... our yesses, and our moans became more ardent, under the tree of knowledge our promises resonated, were we the only two listening to the desires wishes, my love
Our union in paradise we wanted, needed, unto the blending of yearns, generations disunite if there ever was
We're not our actions of craving beyond the benediction of forbidden passion
In the moments of coveting the stirring of the first man’s elongation and in act of my femininity discretion, has it caused all this celestial chaos upon humanity, our destines becomes its reaping lashes
Is it not sacredly ordained from above
The first man turned his back, and I stood alone under that tree, a voice of soothing reason
Do Thy Will come with many seasons, only one choice leads to divine treason
I glanced down, it looked like a brown long branch springing forth, and I touched to test its firmness, to see if the hanging pairs was ripe, they were so, temptation as I was forbidded not to
I was curious my first man, to taste of this strange force of nature forbidden pleasure, of its hard spiritual food
I lay open unto my womb and the Archangel came unto me
My first man I introduced him into the wiles of the sensations of feeling rapture of my new rose-colored world
I danced for him, I held the fixation of his eyes, as I twirled
My kisses to his willing lips I unfurled
The first man of the creation of the time
Sunk deep into the offering of my creamy centered fruit and his lips tasted mine
To those forbidden emotions so sweet, so tender
His body, uncontrollably, as he totally surrendered
We realized we felt the ecstasy in the sensation in the making of two nations
Our eyes were now earthly opened
We heard a thundering voice, shamefulness as it has spoken
His endowment looked mighty good to my eyes
My Nubian curvaceous form caused his nature to rise
The first man pulled me close and captured the sweetness of my lips, our souls became entwined
I kissed over his body
Unto his rib, he became mine
I gave her the power over my kingdom as she uni-lateral my throne, as times slowly rewinds
My Angel
My helpmeet, the beholder of my universal, upon vast lands
The woman who walks a thousand chameleons as the Eve unto herself she stands
Queen, Angel, Warrior, Seer, as the beginning of time, her place at my side, our Genesis’ fate sealed, unto the soil, our Exodus’ destiny has been dealt
Always keep the soul cleansed for everyone to come in passing to accept
Archangel Michael
We will protect our Heavens at all cost
You fight with weapons, how do you fight machines, and what would be the lost
From the invasion as Hell breaks out on Earth
Spiritual beings are here to combat in the evolution of rebirth
Everything goes back to beginning of time from life to death
This dimension is the gift of your wealth
Shalom

serotonin surfing
I thrive on unconventional pleasures
{before you say it...
yeah...those too...
but that's not where this is going
get your mind out of the gutter}
you'll find me feet up on the railing
out on the porch...in the pouring rain
as thunder crashes overhead
the flash & the splash
ahhh...it's a symphony in my head
light me a fire & I'll be there
found curled in the warmth of its glow
gazing into snapping flames
...in another world
not hearing a word being said
the scent of baking bread
will always send me reeling
flashing back into the past
savoring a memory feeling
...cherished & safe
if my headphones are on
go away...I'm plugged into a song
one with the music...shamelessly singing
{& I can't stress this enough
shameless is golden for me}
look into my eyes
with no thought of fucking
just talk to me...about everything
like we're making passionate love
...with our minds
those trails that crunch with every step
call to every corner of my soul
in ways I can't even express
& though age does take its toll
I'm still up for that backwoods stroll
when coffee begins to burble
& aroma fills the room
I'm on the edge of my seat
eager for that first cup
...the new beginning it represents
& tuck a tender kiss
in that intimate sensitive curve
where shoulder meets neck
then keep going...knowing...
its message was felt
make me laugh when I'm angry
& fight over...I'm no longer mad
humor is a part of me
a genetic legacy
...compliments of daddy
give me a pen
& the face of a mountain
I'm in heaven
inspiration rolling down on me
scribing volumes of poetry
conquering fears for me is a rarity
but I'll ride that high until I die
not even thinking about the next one
every victory matters
& I live for the celebration
surviving
thriving
against all the odds
the ultimate serotonin infusion
damn...I get off on that buzz

I am Earthborn
The seeds of my soul were sown in the throes of creation,
With the fabric of two woven into a distinction.
Upon a deep winter night with the howls of the surrounding season,
My heart came aflame, and spoke of bare trees and distant sun.
The winds of the storm shall howl across the land my true name,
For Earthborn I am; of Land and Sky I am made a man.
And on these deep winter nights, songs of creation echo in my heart,
For I am man; I am a force of nature -
Her!
I am Earthborn!
So here I stand; fury of winter in body of man,
Wraith of a season; destroyer of life and land,
But when these fierce winds tear my ghost from my beaten flesh,
I'll leave the soil and howl with them forever,
With the fabric of two woven into a distinction.

Father's memory
On Sundays the father climbs
one side of the roof
trying to find somewhere
where there are no eyes.
Nothing else to do but
undress, lie back
and open his arms wide.
His feet are crossed and made into an X.
A target for the sun to focus
all the energies on him.
The seat of the soul, the damp hair,
breathing, it's the father who calls
all the light he can bring to himself,
in his heroic exhaustion,
a warrior.
If we follow him, still as the light,
genuflecting to his side.
Intimate as the sun
hunting spiders on his ankle.
Like a veiled mystery,
I want to read dad's jaw line,
the story from his mouth,
the mouth on his shoulders,
his belly.
slightly,
like kissing a flower.
Rubbing eyes
along the father's muscles,
his taste is so dry
like the petals
or the damp grass,
silk candy,
old dolls.
The open arms
and feet crossed.
At the foot of the cross I collect
the father in my arms,
stroking him like a miracle.
Not to remove wounds
but to know
what it really is to suffer.
It all seems so natural,
even the mouth
pressed against
the father's body...
whence everything, like air,
was extracted at first.
