2024 Official DUP NaPoWriMo Discussion Thread
TeamNaPo'24 member Daisy Grace's poem, 'Monday is Never as Good' is a personal narrative of observation on a morning we ALL look forward to: Monday. The "mixed metaphors" and "mistreatment of the feet" are a perfect reflection of how many of us feel on such a morning. The "Grey bliss" indicates the relief that a good, strong cup of tea provides us on those mornings we all feel like "uncoordinated sheep".

Luna is in love with the written expression since reading her first word. When she's not reading or writing poetry, you can find her practicing her calligraphy and asking her dog what he thinks of her practice.
Luna has been a member of DU for five years and will earn her spot in the NaPoet's Fiver's Club if she completes her 5th NaPo this year! This will be her fourth year serving Team NaPo, first year as a Director, and second as Captain of the Edit Monitoring Team!

Like a little dream
INSIDE ROAR
Like a little dream (partly for Mareček)
When you fall asleep, I'll put a little kiss in your hair.
You are here for me.
You have small tiny hands, I'm afraid to touch them.
Like a bow tie, a soft flutter around the eyes.
I listen to you breathe.
You came to us like a little dream, so I welcome you.
With you, a new day, as if I were rejuvenated
Like a little dream... aaaah
New day .... aaaah
Welcome to us, happy new day.
When you wake up, you wake up the whole house.
I am here for you.
With my mouth closed, I experience my first date with you.
Like a little bird, you flap your wings.
I'm listening to what you're saying
what are you singing
..... how you breathe
You came to us like a little dream, so I welcome you.
With you, a new day, as if I were rejuvenated

Next Team NaPo'24 feature is a poem by Lunagreyhawk. Luna's 'Legacy' calls to future memory of her current abilities and a testament to aging in a world where current value seems to be lost in fading memories. We each have a legacy to leave the next generations; however, the value of a person is determined in those who remember us before our faculties abandoned us.
Luna's poem captures that perfectly.
