Save Me II

   Sung Beautifully by Missy :-))

SAVE ME

I've got the fear
It's even dark in the day time
And the voices that I hear
Tell me it's useless just to fight on
With every shed of tears
The strangle hold it tightens
And I've got the need
I'm alone in a crowded place
No thought how deep
Brings me to a state of grace
I need to feel
The desire to touch written on my face
Chorus:
Save me, oh save me
Catch me when I'm falling
Catch me when I'm falling
Save me, oh save me
Can't you hear me calling
Can't you hear me calling
You--r name

I've got the pain
It's of my own creation
And I looked in vain
For my own salvation
And this is the rain
I sweat in desperation
And I've got the rage
My anger knows no bounds
On every page
My hatred can be found
I should be caged
Or let loose with the hounds

Chorus:
Save me, oh save me
Catch me when I'm falling
Catch me when I'm falling
Save me, oh save me
Can't you hear me calling
Can't you hear me calling
You--r name
Woah, woah, woah
Calling you--r name

He wrote this with his Daughter, and asked me if I’d record it for him after they lost touch. It was an honour to be trusted to sing it.

A truly beautiful work of art , and you sung it so well , Missy...

Thank you for that gift...

He heard it on the otherside...and loved it

He had a big personality and a gift for poetry.  While he clashed at times with some of DUP's members,  it was par for the course in general for this place-- we have our share of conflicts. It's also a wake up call to the DUP community in general;  keep those conflicts in check, because you don't know how they truly affect someone , being behind a keyboard as we all are, and there may not be opportunities to resolve with those we have disagreements with.

I know that not everyone always agreed with David or maybe didn't even like him, but I do know that at one point of being on the receiving end of a conflict here, it affected him to the point of causing physical distress which required hospitalization .

Regardless of what we all think of each other at times, we should not let our words, our feelings, a desire to take sides, or hold some power over others , bring a person to that point of needing an ambulance ride.

Just because there are differences of opinions and personal dislikes of other members, does not give anyone the power to determine whether or not they are a member here.  That obviously doesn't apply to the fly-by-night plagiarists , trolls, catfishers and spammers that are just passing through here with the intent to harm-- we do have a right to rid ourselves of that bunch.

So in short, rest in peace, David, we'll keep your poetry here for you, and to the rest of us :  you only have one life on this Earth -- make it worth it, make it something good .

Thank you, Lav. While I can attest that all of that is truth, I just don’t have the mental headspace to get into old wounds right now.

Let’s please keep this thread about remembering the man. Right now, I’m just mourning my friend, as I’m sure others are too. x

Tears Of An Angel

I weep for peace that will never be
I weep for the hungry who do not have enough food to eat
I weep for the times of man’s fate
His disavowal with machinery to rule with hate
I weep for the children lost in the warp of technology
I weep for the ones born in the cradle of a twisted biology
I weep for the preacher who preaches his lost theology

Peace I seek as an Angel who is
Adam and Eve’s existence is the answer to life’s quiz
Gratification as I seek
For the Angel of the lost as well as for the meek

Earthbound Angel singing so softly as I weep
Weary souls rest upon my bosom to spiritually keep
My tears raining from heaven as they kiss the towering trees
Gliding down the leaves
Divinity nourishment of the soul’s blessing buried within my inner roots
To earth I come to bear such sweeten passionate fruits
Haven found in gentle arms as I come to you to please

In your dreams I passionately awaken you from a reverent sleep
So, shall you blissfully sow, so shall my halo come to reap
Take my hand, lay me among the stars, erase earthly chaos taken in vain
Cocoon my fragile wings in your arms as you softly kiss my lips and whisper to the wind my name
Blessed souls as we enter a beautiful astral plane
Far from the hatred, greed, the minds of the insane
Who relish their existence in the name of shame

Umm...mind to mind my earthly dream weaver
A moment in time for the realm of the cognizance awareness to grasp as a true believer
Embrace this soft Angel, a cosmic slip, centered dip
The lengthily thrusts of a heavenly shift
Transference of interstellar energy, bit by bit
Unity of its elixir began to gradually sift
The wondrous of an Angel’s heavenly gift
A shooting star illuminating the sky, a meteorite shower for all to see
Wait, allow the moon to guide this harmony to the powers that be
The pearls of life drifting, you coming as I’m going
Angel wings flapping, you now have my halo glowing
A moment ordained in time
Kismet Karma only by fate’s designs

You are an Angel’s morsel delight
Wings are becoming weakened on earth, at the speed of light
Close your eyes, you can find the trail of my sultry rainbow in the cortex of the fifth dimension
A beautiful oneness of mind, body, and soul in twilight suspension
Spiritual Awareness of Mother, Father, Creator
An Angel’s grain of salt, one must adopt from the naysayers or earthly haters

My strength is weaning as I’ve journeyed the world
Hidden secrets found in the soaring feathers of a Red Cardinal Bird
Mysteries of life decoded in life’s written word
A discontent pen could be so much mightier than the sword
Healer properties of bodily in accord
An Angel’s wings found in the hands to heal the world
Tears of an Angel as she silently weeps
I pray to the Lord your soul he will always keep

I remember working with David on this episode. important to note Risky Quuzness was developed from an original idea David shared so getting him on was a bit of craic

With wetted cheeks and a broken heart..

Life has a way of turning on a dime, sometimes, doesn't it??

This is such shocking news, I'm not really sure I have even processed it entirely. To say I'm saddened, doesn't even really begin to cover it. I didn't know David long but I knew enough of him to know that he was the type of someone who went out of his way to help a no one, veritable stranger, like myself. His kindness helped me understand my writing better and extended to motivation, advice on form and fucking killer attitude. He was nothing but extremely nice to me and I cherished our limited conversations. His impact was great (more than I realized) and left me with the notion to challenge myself, my outlook on my writing and my self confidence. I just mentioned him a few days ago, in praise of that challenge.
He was a massive presence and force to reckon with. My time on DU was improved exponentially by having had the good fortune of his brief friendship. I will always be deeply thankful and consider myself very very lucky that he was swept into my life.

All my heartfelt sympathies and condolences go out to those he held dear.

Safe travels, David....
Thank you, for everything
🌹
Susan
