Study on mortality and life expectancy rates during the depression. Life expectancy increased during the depression.
The conclusion reads:
“ Recent events highlight the importance of examining the impact of economic downturns on population health. The Great Depression of the 1930s was the most important economic downturn in the U.S. in the twentieth century. We used historical life expectancy and mortality data to examine associations of economic growth with population health for the period 1920–1940. We conducted descriptive analyses of trends and examined associations between annual changes in health indicators and annual changes in economic activity using correlations and regression models. Population health did not decline and indeed generally improved during the 4 years of the Great Depression, 1930–1933, with mortality decreasing for almost all ages, and life expectancy increasing by several years in males, females, whites, and nonwhites. For most age groups, mortality tended to peak during years of strong economic expansion (such as 1923, 1926, 1929, and 1936–1937). In contrast, the recessions of 1921, 1930–1933, and 1938 coincided with declines in mortality and gains in life expectancy.”
You are watching too much Fox News.
“The economy” is only an idea. The New Deal, which took the US out of the depression, is a perfect example where government policy was used to improve lives.
If you have actually been reading my comments (which I strongly doubt), I have been very clear I have no strong belief in government that is not in service to its people.
My comments on the Bill and Melinda Gates foundation stand. Your assertions that Bill Gates is a eugenicist do not.
You may entertain us both by presenting evidence to the contrary.

This guy is your source? A quick check on his credentials leaves me underwhelmed....
Richie Allen and his show have been described by Hope not Hate as "protégé[s] of conspiracy theorist David Icke". The show (founded in 2014[2]) "emerged from Icke's short-lived broadcast The People's Voice, and was for a time hosted on Icke's website".[3] The show broadcasts six times a week from Fab Radio International and all episodes are available as podcasts (many on YouTube), and gained a reputation for inviting conspiratorialists on the show.[4]
Ata boy Hemi use that critically thinking programmed brain of yours.
Or perhaps you could listen to what is being said. That would involve you putting your ego aside though.
David Icke as out there and crazy as he is, has been saying truths ie we do need to question the narrative. The fact of the matter as to how hard they came down with censorship on that interview of him on Londonreel speaks volumes. Something in that interview struck a nerve.
Why censor the guy now. What purpose does it serve, whom benefits from that information being censored.
Yet his out there theories up until that point had not been censored.
Same as how the media don't have anyone on criticising the narrative, sure occasionally someone slips something through, but that quickly gets surpressed.
Take 5g which you keep mentioning, does the public not have the right to hear from scientists and professionals criticising this technology. Or once again do people need there minds controlled, being told what to think.
According to the World Health Organization’s International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), EMFs are “possibly carcinogenic to humans.” The IARC believes that some studies show a possible link between EMFs and cancer in people.
So do people have a right to know that there are potential risks that come with this technology, that we take for granted.
May cause cancer but your download rate will be oh so fast.
Again Hemi, is the sacrifice worth the potential risk?

And yet you seem fine with letting people die “for the economy”
5G bad. Covid 19 good.
Got it.
(There always has to be a counter view, especially in science, politics, and the media.
There also have to be gatekeepers of sanity.
You seem fine with guarding against authoritarian rule, which involves stopping some people doing what they want to do; becoming fascist rulers.
I’m comfortable with limits being put on the free speech of dangerous idiots who perpetuate conspiracies that endanger people’s health.
Same same)

I have been hearing that there are some dangers from 5G with increased radiation possibilities, as Carpe was eluding to. But I am with Hemi on the view that 5G could not pass on the COVID-19 virus, as that is only transfered person to person or Tiger to Tiger, even Tiger to human, if you are unlucky enough to be near a Tiger.
Carpe, you & Hemi are the fire & ice in this debate. I am the lukewarm one, lol. Spinal Tap!

Speaking of 5G... Dr.Grande, my favourite psych expert, actually made a video about it some time ago:
https://youtu.be/h4nCIdyoVcg
.. Even though I'd never given the topic much thought, I found the video to be fascinating, ... he has such a straight forward way of explaining things

I can see this interesting debate becoming stuck in a 'war narrative' -- and it is precisely the turning of so many discussions into a war narrative, especially in the last 20 years or so, that is the essence of the problem.
Is there no better way of relating?
Step back.
By 'othering' Nature in the scientific-technological project to 'subdue Nature and make Her our slave' (paraphrase of Francis Bacon [1561-1626]) we have developed a language of conquering, survival-of-the-fittest, may-the-best-man-win, winner-takes-all ... and so on.
And not only the language of control & domination but the whole idea that top-down control is a 'good thing', or inevitable, or natural. Nature shows the key to sustainable life is diversity and self-organising systems on various levels.
The attempts to control Nature (and societies) through technology and a command-and-control mindset is what is messing up the ecology/climate and has produced the situation of millions of disposessed peoples.
But here's the key, if you attempt to control Nature, you inevitably end up attempting to control people - why? Because people are part of Nature - we are 'one system' on this planet. (One world, one People)
I suggest the only way out of this loop is to hold certain things sacred. What makes something 'sacred'? Its uniqueness, which means it is irreplacable, you can't put a price on its head.
Nature is sacred. It doesn't need a utility value (such as rain-forests are the lungs of the Earth so we'd better save them). Until Nature is treated and respected as sacred, politics will always end up with the few controlling the many.
But while that's being sorted out, back to Corona-politics. What is sacred here? Things that need no utility-value to justify their protection; that should be honoured regardless. Certain liberties, for example?

Hmmm..., perhaps I should have said:
Is there not a common story we can all agree on to inhabit?
(not destroying the planet on which we all depend might be a goer ... but then again, there are those who can't wait to 'bring on the rapture' and from their escape pods in heaven watch the final action of Armageddon from a safe distance)![](/images/forum/smilies/confused.gif)

Actually , Josh , I do not believe there *is* any *common* story...
That is the essential *freedom of life , liberty , pursuit of happiness*
Which every one of us views differently , Thank Goddess !

In 2015, he propagated long-debunked superstitions in his blog, about food turning poisonous and human health being adversely affected during lunar eclipse; the post has been since been broadcast across multiple mainstream media, for years; over a public discourse, he used a rudraksha garland as an 'energy' measuring device to prove his claim.[44][98][99] AltNews has documented Vasudev to have perpetuated numerous myths around clinical depression; he had also protested against a potential prohibition on the use of mercury for Indian traditional medicines, despite its extreme toxicity which can lead to death.[100][101] His views on the Higgs boson and alleged benefits for the Vibhuti have been refuted by the rationalists and have been labelled as anti-scientific.[102][103] In a talk delivered at IIT Madras, he propounded debunked theories about water memory.[104]

HONEST and truthful is it
it has never twisted the truth
or lied eh
there are different types
of mercury
have you ever thought
why is it that scientists
are refused funding
to experiment with mercury
like mercury engines
P.S
water memory has been proven

I presume that i know
coz my belief
tells me so
prepackaged with words
i assume
that i know
fresh off the net
ready to grow
tall and strong
into my belief's
That are never wrong
Passed by psychologist inspections
stamped and guaranteed
to show me the way
on how i should think
when i look though the eyes
of those who argee
that explain to me
this is how life
is supposed to be
for the freedom to think
cannot show me
any links
on knowledge
that i don't
really need
if i want
to keep
my pre packad

YOU await the proof with low expectations eh
if your waiting with low expectations
that would suggest
you have already made up your mind
now the proof
that your waiting for
I can't help you
you see I have a psychological problem
I keep getting a painful rash
EVERY TIME
I SPOON FEED SOMEONE
such as yourself
DO your own research
I know
it's a little scary
a little hard
stepping outside
ones comfort zone
it hurts
I should know
I've lost count
on how many
of my belief's
have turned into dust
when new information
raises it's ugly head
like taking nasty medicine
when we were kids
and like an idiot
I leave my comfort zone
to take more
to look at new information
I wasn't even looking for
and when I do
I try to use a little common sense reasoning
with what are the possibilities
I would suggest
YOU do the same
instead of waiting
with low
