The warm and fuzzies

My pen used to be filled
With my tears
From heartbreak

I’d spread my tears
Over the pages
Spilling my soul

Since I met you
My heart doesn’t cry
So my pens run dry

Instead I feel
Warm and fuzzy
Sweet and lovey

There’s a tenderness
In my body
Aching for you

There’s a softness
In my voice
When I talk to you

I get nervous
And shy
Just at the thought of you

Forgive me
I’m not good at writing
Love poems

You see
I had no inspiration
Until I met you

Play it on your lips

Wear a smile on your face,
Wear a smile all day,
For nothing you wear looks lovely without it
Smile away the day,
and watch the effect
you pass around
It might just cheer up the not
so gay
and happiness may well
abound.
And don't you look your best
when you do smile
No wonder you're asked to say
'cheese' for a photo
but the trick is to wear it all
the while
'To smile without distinction'
be thy motto.:)
When someone creases their
forehead into a frown
You curve your lips upward
into a smile
Don't let their scowl get you
down
They'd be the one to look the
clown
while you show off your
inspiring style.
If people stare 'n' glare at you
Return their glares and stares
with a grinning smile
Keep smiling whether they boo
or pooh pooh
They might just reset their
mental file.
Thus forever flash your
pearlywhites
They aren't meant merely for
chow and bites.
Flash em' into a smile that
lights
A crescent shaped smiley on
the face
explore your own facial
expression delights.:)
A smile is a sign of happiness right under your nose
Smile warmly like the sunshine, like the crescent moon
Even when the icy cold wind of discourtesy blows

Celestialove

I soar above the canopy of trees
Dance on the wind and I'm free
This is how I was created to be

The sea of clouds below illuminated
Brilliant white and golden streams
Cast down by the sun in search of his love

He reaches out across the depths
Separates and penetrates through them
To caress and linger over her body

Beauty that does not fade or fail
Reveals perfection in her face
As seen through the bridal veil

Laying exposed before the universe
Cool blues, greens and brown blanket her
Safe from the twinkling eyes beyond the sky

She turns away for they mean nothing
Despite their admiration,  none can bring
The heat and passion of her lover

None else ignite the spark of life
That blooms and grows within her
Life that springs from him to her

No master keeps her captive or enslaved
Any attempt she destroys in rage
All while her love heals destruction

The sun covets and holds her near
Each day his face shines upon her
And Earth mother is filled by him

Generations in every kind alike
Blood, seed, fin or flame
His root to her womb, all these have came

I only exist in this teardrop of truth
Mother loves and Father provides
In a moment I have lived and died

Yet their love grows on forever
And thus, reborn I'm new and free
To dance, to fly, to be only me

Who paints the sky

Six year old girl facing the sunset.
Do you think God let's Bob Ross paint the sky?
My heart swells.
I know that this moment in time is one I must grasp tightly.
Remember the colors. Remember her face.
I sure hope He does baby.
She smiles, hugs herself.  Me too.

Season of Change

An Autumn's fullmoon enlightens my way, thru fields and forests, to the hills nature lays.
As leaves, red and gold, flurry night's sky, a silence brings whispers to their songs of goodbye.

For soon, Fall will bare the lives of pasts' fold. In slumber's golden sleep and to lullabies yet told.
So come, Winter's chill with your deep-blanket snows. Enwrapping, to preserve, 'til the Springtime unfolds.

Magic in Music

There is magic in music,
    It can be quiet illusive,
When the captivating tune awakens the soul,
And when you hear a song,
There is a power so strong,
That the composition makes the spirit whole.

It gives hope and purpose,
    To nurture and nurse us,
Feeding beats to the heart for salvation,
It serves like a light,
    To guide us just right,
It even helps us reach our destinations.

It makes us feel alive,
    To succeed and to thrive,
It even transports us to an enchanted place,
And there we find happiness,
    Freedom and liveliness,
When it takes us anywhere in time or space.

Music is a true reflection,
    Of the heart’s deepest affection,
Expressing desires regardless of circumstance,
Music can soothe us,
    Music can move us,
Music makes us smile and want to dance.

It is only
within
the darkness
of ignorance
when you shout
Do you shine

Smiling at the darkness
will only
bring it closer
you have to shout
to bring upon the light
that you hold
within

Thanks for your entries wally and drone.

Wally, I enjoyed reading your poem and completely agree with how important music is to us. It can certainly embark us on a grand adventure, or fill us with nostalgia for times that have passed. Well done!
Drone, I enjoyed the simplicity and message of your first entry, but your second entry doesn't meet the criteria of my competition.
