Paradise Dreamed

I dreamed of a future society,
Where war and hunger were no more,
Where greed and avarice disappeared,
And human kindness was a true realization.
There was real value in human relations,
Amid mankind that truly understood,
What it means to be symbiotic,
With each other and with mother earth.
And it was here where we all strived,
To reach our full potential,
We were perceptive and conscious beings,
Achieving altruistic and noble goals.
We’d done away with money and corruption,
We’d recognized and realized our purpose,
We led happy and productive lives,
We were wise and kept our eyes on our young.
We read and studied our ancestors,
Built a civilization on the ruins of the old,
We mourned and learned from their mistakes,
Vowing to “never again” and corrected what’s wrong.
I dreamt of free and honorable people,
Who were respectful to each other,
Collaborating and communicating,
Like the civilized humans we were meant to be.

Home

When the sun’s rays go to sleep,
And our hearts are free from grief;
The starlight appears and glows,
And we know that we are home.

The love we have warms our tired souls,
When connected with others it make us whole;
And the wind caresses my hair,
When I call for you, I know you’re there.

In a land where light never fades,
A place where dawn transitions to day;
And the soil is fertile and warm,
A place where bonds can never be torn.

The sun and moon shall always dance,
Up in the sky to bloom their romance;
We on Earth are lively and free,
Across the lands and the seven seas.

From the starlight comes our hope,
Special beings that warm our souls;
And they show what we’ve always known,
The golden path that leads us on, to our true home.

Our old blind Milton and deaf Beethoven
Would not have believed their eyes & ears
Give congratulations on failing upwards
While falling down on the totem tiers...

These relative truths become inescapable
A modern rouge through the wasted years
Everything trends toward nonfunctional
Producing a sham of their soul's premier...

Loose drum heads beat the funeral march
The communal mind was now laid to rest
Shining second sight on their Gothic arch
The self defined seen as a fool's quest...

Since we always have a bigger boat design
Endless nonsense wrote of positive thinking
All sunshine thoughts make a desert mind
As larger ships make for a better sinking...

So we see a world of wackiness ensue
Must pay the piper for the temporal dance
The string held taut for the fates review
We walk the tight rope in our life of chance...

Take Me Back to Utopia

I’ve been to Utopia
And I experienced bliss
I ventured to Utopia
The moment we first kissed

Please, my sweet beloved
Take me back to that place
By placing a kiss once more
Upon my dying face

Remembering Utopia

Take me back to the spot where we first kissed,
Overlooking the city right before us. The mist
And clouds part, making way to the city lights
That still twinkle within the distance. No heights
Or limits can stop us now. This is utopia where
We do not have to think of anything and the air
Is fresh like the breezy ocean waves. Nothing
From the past or dystopian world can ever cling
To us while making us feel like we are drowning
In the fire because we are on top, always counting
The universe of stars. We are living in the present
Moment and that is utopia too. The strong scent
Of us is surrounding us, but I am no longer afraid
Of falling down and the sharp edge of the blade
Is non-existent. The place where the sun shines
Stronger than any piece of broken glass and signs
That point out the right direction. This right here
Is our heaven when all methods of time disappear.

Daydreaming... (wishes)

Sway me into sweet butterscotch dreams...

This bitter coffee bean life
it keeps me painfully awake

Alive

Raw, unprepared was I
when pitchers of harrowing drinks
were brewed
with my very own tears

Give me the dreams I yearn
with all my heart
I wish to embrace sunrays ablaze
to bring overwhelming warmth of joy
to live

Love & intensity of mirthful reveries...

When heart is like a bluebird
singing alone
caged indoors of home
malnourished

Missing Love...

Strife for freedom
to fly in open fields of fantastical  wonders
a fantasy it is
in which it only exists in mind

Blissful vibrancy of colors to inundate cynically shaded thoughts & heart...

Dreamscape
where landscapes of fairy-taled magic comes true
to dissolve of bitter tears
assuage sour taste of reality

Can we believe...

Can we believe these dreams are real?

It is real...

~Lost~

Dystopia

a strange day
No colours or shapes
No sound in my head
I forget who I am

"What you don't know" the legend goes "can't hurt you"
If you only want to live and die in fear
They tell us to believe just half of what we see
And absolutely nothing that we hear

When I'm with you
There's no reason
There's no sense
I'm not supposed to feel

Resist the twist to truth no matter what the cost
Supplant the rights with wrongs inside our heads
Outlawing all the questions to the answers
That no one likes when someone ends up dead

I forget who I am
I forget
Fascist baby
Utopia, utopia

My dog needs new ears
Make his eyes see forever
Make him live like me
Again and again

"What you don't know" the legend goes "can't hurt you"
If you only want to live and die in a cage
There's panic and there's chaos, rampant in the streets
Where useless thoughts of peace are met with rage

I'm wired to the world
That's how I know everything
I'm super brain
That's how they made me

Demoralized and overmastered people think
The quickest way to end a war is lose
Dictatorship ends starting with tyrannicide
You must destroy the cancer at it's root

-The Road-

Blues/Country Feel

 Well Happy New Year (and) welcome to the same old year, again.
I'm feelin' down to my shoes...Shufflin' along for missing clues.
But my bags've been packed between what is gone and what will never be.
Yeah, I'm too far down this road of broken dreams.

Over some lost horizon (maybe) beyond a setting sun.
This ole desert road will deliver me an oasis where there's none.
Where I'll drink the water but the thirst still comes, so tired of running and I wanna be done.
But my soul's been crushed, it seems...on this road of broken dreams.

-Broken dreams...Broken dreams.... Yeah, life on this road is a... road of broken dreams-

I've been headed south since I was tendered young.
Livin' spent in two split worlds...one I lost and one undone.
Of missing persons who've disappeared thru the mists of time and this road of damned tears...
Too many miles down...this road of broken dreams.

--Instrumental--

Well, every new sunrise (thought), maybe today.
And my heart would rise like the newborn sun and light my way.
But the day would fade while the nightime stayed, sinkin' my heart down another notch laid.
So this road be damn, this...road of broken dreams.
Yeah, spinnin' my wheels on down...this road of broken dreams.

STATE of Nature

On the eve of the second Great Depression —
We found a housing bubble that would pardon the rich —
Carved into the margins of a marketing myth —
Bound to downward struggle as it started to shift,
and you’re the mark, we’ve been targeted, the market is fixed —
Property is robbery, serving an aristocracy
where freedom we observe is subservient to plutocracy,
a dream deferred —“burgeoning democracy”;
reoccurring absurdities converging on hypocrisy
while heeding the words —“fervor” and “philosophy”;
so what's an oligopoly's policy on monopoly
when fleecing the herd —nursing inequality,
or nurturing hyperbole for worshipping economies
depleting the Earth? —perjury’s a novelty
when purchasing a circus of encircling monotony;
adjourned —for the purpose of it furthering
the disconcerting poverty it purged —
…and preserving obvious ventures —they'll be watching
as conscientious objectors are oddly met with conjecture
in a system that dismisses its omnipresent oppressors —
Living in derision where godly essence is measured
by imprisonment of victims it’d probably sentence forever —
Business of attrition, it lobbied deadly endeavors
while topping many dissenters at prodding enemy threats —
It’s impressive, the frigid, rigid, and wretched
had limited dividends to the timid heavy in debt —
The objective, insipid lending of credit
while robbing every incentive, admitting any in jest —
An inception embedded into its citizens,
or sicknesses injected, omitting any regrets
while alleging it’s competitive —given sedatives,
while sitting at the precipice, living envy the dead;
they’re envisioning an emptiness as connections are severed —
Up the dosages, we can cope with the loneliness;
the holiest of holies are only known for these opiates —
Weak and broken, as we awoke in erroneous
reasoning; each a demon who reeks of foreboding soullessness —
Sleepless dreaming, as seen decoding felonious
secrecy; it’s intriguing and eases shouldering hopelessness —
private gatherings are happening for regulation;
grappling tenacity, their tapestry of legislation —
It was more than just our apathy, a resignation;
mastering depravity would atrophy a generation —
It was maddening, the magazines and emulation;
nothing but a strategy unravelling our education —
Dedicated to status and fashion, actively —
Demonstrating our sadness and laughing passively —
Living lavishly where flattery’s a reparation,
’til they felt the gravity of tragedy and devastation —
With a baffling capacity for separation,
scavenging for batteries and rationing their medications —
…Turned to savagery,
while having these Earth shattering revelations —
Or to piety, the blind will lead the deaf in the dark,
then hide the meaning; there's no rhyme or reason left in the art
to find the irony —line of questioning, charges;
silent treatment led to violent beatings; mentally scarred
by wily mind readers piloting the menacing guards
of high society —time, regretfully ours
to find sobriety while spiraling incredibly far from our reality —
Life legacies marred by lean banalities —
…Wage slavery, chasing a meager salary,
competing with the neighbors and faking congeniality
at day’s end —“savior”’s a weak analogy
for teaching paganism and praising convenient fallacies
of made men —allegiant, albeit callously;
maybe they think the boundary’s egregious, although cowering
to lame trends —they’re entertaining tradition
while contagious entertainment’s used to tame them —
…it will mitigate desensitization
as they inundate assimilated mechanization —
Then disintegrate collectivization
while they “liberate” through innovative weaponization —
Speaking of armed foes and cynical principles,
you can borrow your tomorrows like a “free individual” —
…then Anarcho-Syndicalism
is seen as trivial, but teaching Neoliberalism
will keep us “civil” as they barcode political systems —
We, the indivisible, pleading, if being literal;
as harrowing, as we are sheepish and pitiful —
Need no other reason for proceeding as criminals,
we’re breathing —even though we’re reaching the pinnacle
adjacent to forsaken places made for human waste —
As if our state of nature was awakening too late —
This is our innate capitulation to The State —
Where change has been abated by the chains that keep us safe —
