Grace, could I use a third person and not me? This is a wonderful theme and I will definitely find time to write something despite my hectic schedule.

I MOVED YOU
Three days after our wedding
I moved us to Saskatoon
One year after being out west
I moved you back to Guelph
From Guelph I moved you to Brampton
From Brampton to Mississauga
Yes, you read right
I moved my husband seven times in seven years
Then the seven year itch got started
Found you in bed, all tarted
No is was not a Miss, it was like you, and hit and miss
We went to see Victor/Victoria and you told me
That all you ever wanted in a WOMAN was little cute me
The marriage was too confining
Much too bourgousie
Could we not have an open marriage
Then it's not cheating you see
I felt so used and abused and dumb
The "love of my life" was scum
Using me as "United Van Lines of Canada"
Was a really dirty trick
I got no money
You ran off with Dick.
This is a work of fiction. Names, characters, businesses, places, events and incidents are either the products of the author’s imagination or used in a fictitious manner. Any resemblance to actual persons, living or dead, or actual events is purely coincidental.
I have tried to recreate events, locales and conversations from my memories of them. In order to maintain their anonymity in some instances I have changed the names of individuals and places, I may have changed some identifying characteristics and details such as physical properties, occupations and places of residence.

Dear Grace: thank you for making this competition. Although the above is based on true experiences, no person who thinks they are that scum, are portrayed as truly and accurately that they really were. So the above was my own imagination and does not reflect badly on a man who used Kitty as KITTY'S KANADIAN MOVING KOMPANY. XOXOXOXO

Always giving
I was,
no matter what.
Punch-drunk
I came back for more,
again and again,
religiously.
And, what did I get
for payment,
what reward
was I bestowed.
You know,
I never really
realized
their schemes,
until
Pop died,
broken dreams
they take
endlessly.
It’s a
pathetic
state of affairs
these days.
Our family
is ground
down to dust,
more takers
than
givers.
I don’t want
medals
or
to
play a martyr,
I just want
my family back.
And,
they
won’t give it
to me,
sadly.

My Parent's Unconditional Love
http://www.cindyclarklaw.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/parents_with_child_on_beach.jpg
My father was from the North
while my mother was from the South
I had no idea how they exactly met,
except my father gave up his bus seat
They worked hard everyday for a living
and provided me with good breeding
Turned days into nights
just to keep both ends meet.
I remember when I was little
my parents held me tenderly,
for my bones were brittle
They showered me with love and affection
until I finished college, I got their full attention
Never did they complain about my occasional tantrums
even if my repeated shouts of rebellion,
could break their bones and aging eardrums.
They never asked anything in return,
for they know the day will come to be my turn
How I wish they were still here,
so I can shower them with love and care
Unfortunately they died early
without getting the love they shared so tenderly
I envy those who share their bundles of joy
may it be a girl or a boy
I know it will always be a parent's delight
For I am now in their caring shoes
trying to keep everyone see nothing
but the bright, shining light.

True Love Sorrow
Boy: I want you to tell me how much you love me.
Girl: I love you with all my heart. Why?
Boy: I just love hearing you tell me.
*he hugs her tightly*
Girl: Honey promise me, I'll have you forever.
Boy: *wipes away a tear* Yes my sweet love, I promise.
Girl: Why are you crying, did I do something wrong?
Boy: I'm crying because you're the center of my whole world.
Girl: *kisses him softly* Your the center of mine too.
Boy: What would you do if I was going to die?
Girl: I would give anything to keep you alive.
Boy: I want to be your knight and you my princess.
*boy holds girl tightly and silently cries.*
*The boy was beat up by the bullies at school one day. They beat him so hard that he was going to die. He needed a heart to live this horrible crime.*
Boy: *wakes up in hospital* Father where is she?
Father: Son she told me to give you this.
Boy: * reads note: I told you I would do anything to keep you alive and I meant it. I gave you my heart, so you'll always have me. I love you so much, your sweet love.*
Boy: Why did you let her do this?! I can't live without her!! *he yelled in anger and pain*
Father:I'm sorry son I tried to talk her out of it, but there was nothing I could do.
Boy: *cries her name*
*The day after he left the hospital, the boy cuts his wrist and left a note of only a few words.*
*Note: I told you that you'd have me forever. If I can't have you here, then I'll go to you.
I love you baby-girl*

Smile
The shadow across my heart
Is not deeper or darker
Than the wound that you left me
I gave up hope for us
Long ago, and I'm finally
Thinking that I could be happy
But you turn my world
Upside down all over again
And I can't breathe
But I would ask you to save me
Because I know that it hurt you
To turn me down
I sacrifice my happiness
Because I love you
And always want to see you smile
Even if it's not towards me

Early Promises
He sits in the forest
peace for himself
Empty moments alone
only loneliness felt
He thinks of a woman
she can never be his
He wants her beside him
partnership bliss
Her eyes saying sorry
she looks at him
He knows that her heart
A woman will win
She smiles at him
loves like a friend
He feels much more
wants it to end
She thinks he is ok
one day will find love
He cannot let go
he takes it above
She found him sleeping
He will never wake
Who she can love
not her mistake.
