The Bloodiest Hands
You called it a gift when you gave us emotion
Demand our Love and eternal devotion
This gift is a curse in a devastating place
a land of corruption, a world of disgrace
The promise of hell if we don't remember your name
Believe the unseen and keep faith through the pain
Are we like pets to you? or your greatest invention?
If you're not angry at us, you're not paying attention
I wish you were a man, I wish you were real
With a beating heart and no choice but to feel

Run From The Pack
Unconditional love, the hearts greatest lie
Humans are wired to live and then die
Step on each other and take what we need
Imperfect and vile, infectious breed
I despise them all, myself the most
I take a physical form but move like a ghost
Overwhelming desire to run from the pack
Bright eyes in the darkness prepare to attack
Some still believe there is freedom in choice
They worship the god with the loudest voice
Searching for faith, expecting something profound
Silence is the most deafening sound
The only true freedom the reaper...

Self Destruct
I Talk and talk but nobody hears
Scream and shout, tell of my fears
Display the scars that can't be seen
Lose myself when I am mean
Spill the pain with every word
Beg and plead to be heard
See the world that can't see me
Lose the fight to be free
Slip and fall, fail to find balance
Loathe myself, deny my talents
Think of life as a brutal fight
Self destruct every night
Pray my mind forgets to think
Drown it out with another drink
Befriend my rage and my hate ...

Spent my whole life paying for my fathers sin
My face a constant reminder of the evil in him
A mother looks down at her child's eyes
The feeling of love drowned out by despise
Never able to look past him to see what I am worth
My fighting chance stolen by the details of my birth
Half of it is yours, the blood that I bleed

I Have Seen
I watch over the earth and the human race
I have seen the worlds disgrace
I've seen the darkness enough to know when it has won
I have seen the damage that greed has done
I have seen people kill to live one more day
I've seen more desperation than words can say
Sins in the name of the father and the son
I have seen the holy come undone
Children stolen from a sea of worn out faces
I have seen some forgotten places

Around The Corner
I know sometimes it feels like life is pain
Always picking yourself up just to fall down again
If you would just hold on I promise you will see
Happiness around the corner waiting patiently
You've made so many mistakes you just want to hide
Even if your failures are many, own them with pride
There is a reason that you are still here
You will never know if you give in to fear
There are so many things still here for you
I know you can't see them so I'll name a few
There's the feeling you get when you let loose and dance ...

When I was seven years old I thought I could fly
I leaped off my bed trying to reach the sky
My sister picked me up and wiped my tears away
Suddenly I could clearly see her dying day
Something happens when I touch another's skin
The ending is shown to me from within
I can see their fate, the details of their death
The end of their existence, the very last breath
I came close to love once, close enough to steal a kiss
As her lips touched mine I felt sadness not bliss
How could I ever make a lady my wife?

Fairy tales say magic always comes at a price
When I think of our love I know they are right
Finding true love is only half the struggle
The real fight is keeping it from ending in rubble
Such a divine fantasy is happily ever after
Nature demands balance, tears for your laughter

In the dead of night when you are cold and alone
The sun shines through the windows of our home
When the distance between us compels me to cry
My only comfort is knowing we're under the same sky

I took you for granted when I had you around

Shameless wallowing
A photo taken inside
Nowhere for truth to hide

Ramblings of a troubled mind
View of the world unkind
Gifted, twisted and blind
These rhymes are my bible
Proof of my survival
Journey to my arrival.

If I Could Forgive
If I could forgive, my mind would be free
The weight of the world would be lifted from me
If I could forget, it would all fall in to place
I could look at you with love and not disgrace
If I could let go of the pain inside
Love would win, the resentment denied
If I could dig deep enough to find my core
I would have the strength not to hate anymore
If I could wipe all the images from my brain
I could rescue my head before I go insane
If I don't find a way I will be stuck in this cage

He probably lives at home with his mummy and dad
Writes poems about relationships he never really had
Logs on to that site it's all he has in his life
Lifts himself up by causing cyber strife
Tragic and pathetic, a waste of good air
Sadly adult bullies are everywhere
Best not to bite back when these rabid dogs bark
They will create an inferno from the smallest spark
Claims his arrogance is honesty but we know what is true
Despite all your rage the real loser is still you
Maybe one day he'll get a life and leave others...
