Avoided them for 35 years
A lover I almost married
Was a cherry eater
We ended badly
Swore off them forever
Till now
Funny how I held a grudge
against a fruit
Enjoying them again
They are dangerous tho

Great story & relatable!
Makes perfect sense to me--we transfer our feelings about people to things we associate with them.
What's more, it can have real effects--our emotions can be so powerful, that there can be a biochemical reaction.
Have you ever seen the film, "Witches of Eastwick," with Cher, Sarandon, Pfeifer, & Nicholson? There's a scene with cherries--unforgettable!
