Image for the poem Honest Earth

Honest Earth

Luminous golden lines painted the shapes of the tree's, secrets stirred inside both them and me, pulled into the strange haze of the woods my heart and soul mingle with the landscape

I could feel the air change as hues of purple  wrapped itself around the bark of the tree's, revealing their soul to me, leading me into a vintage world where scattered leaves cradled me

This is my nature throne, I wear a crown of sunshine and shade, see the promise of the future in the tiny eggs as they're bunched in a nest on the branches, and I'll wear honest earth next to my heart
