The Schoolboys and the Rastafarian Men (With original Patois quotations)
Two schoolboys, Dan and Josh, attended the Independent City All Age School in St. Catherine. In the evenings, they used to walk through a cane field near the school when they were going home. Many tall coconut trees bordered the cane field. Dan and Josh would cut sugar cane and pick coconuts to eat. In addition to that, they would carry some sugar cane and coconuts home.
The boys had a big problem. They had to pass a construction site on the way home, and some men who worked there would beg them sugar cane and coconuts. If the boys refused to give the men what they asked...

Ascension
Arise!
For thou art the eternal damnation upon mankind
I tread the path to thee
For thy endless reign
Dwell deep in the dark waters
Where the tales were untold
Through a sacrificial spell
Awakens from eternal slumber
She was spawned from eternal sin
The oceanic form awakens
Surviving sulfuric blasts of scorching heat from the depths in to the presence of mankind
As an apocalyptic demon
Wreaking havoc on the surface world
Embrace my dominion, I alonе will rule and reign
Wake up in...
For thou art the eternal damnation upon mankind

Dwell deep in the dark waters
Where the tales were untold
Through a sacrificial spell
Awakens from eternal slumber

to walk on water
Doubt kills more dreams than failure ever will.”
—Suzy Kassem
more than a puddle,
bearing fleet feet like steppingstones;
more than a puzzle,
a mystery that melts my bones:
to walk on water
and not sink to the ocean floor.
no piscine slaughter,
death by aquatic carnivore.
peter’s bright cunning
dares him to brave the saline streets;
too soon too stunning,
his heart flip-flops a thousand beats:
to walk on water
and not sink to the ocean floor
no alma mater
would risk, although her sense be poor. ...

The Midnight Pacific
I dreamt of going to the beach
but the beach came to me
with all the colors to beseech
a midnight mind at sea.
And all washing in on a breeze
of sweet pacific air
and sweeter still through all the trees
of forests everywhere!
Then to an ocean sky I woke
of multi-layered gray,
wherefrom Poseidon gently spoke
his hydrologic say...
"Oh, when you finally get some sleep
when you were overdue
my spirits over land will creep...
and bring the sea to you"

My Path to the eighth house
When the lights are dimmed, your vanity and worth the earth consumes, a reckoning preordained I face, but find solace with a sense of grace. Meditate beyond the grave, fly on more than dreams, hold the vision my forthcoming future holds a sheen. A house that is a TARDIS hidden, and deaths dark maze has not forbidden. A promised golden Narnia awaits, as I dissolve, and earthly bonds all dissipate
The treasured strands of memories are holding fast the anchors leash
Faith to hold not to relapse for deaths it's freedoms grim impact, that house awaits, the afterlife at No 8. But Holy...

Strange Fruit In The Renewal Of Sacred Celebration
Earth tone, the melanin jazz that sings throughout my veins
The protective barriers when, Come By Here My Lord provided no cooling rain
Such a blessed skin to be, beautiful to adorn, it reproduces in so many shades
From Bronze, to Honey, Brown Sugar, and the sweetest taste of marmalade
You could say I am not that dark
Most will say, we all bleed the same when given our own foundational spark
Yesteryears denied me my rights, my land, and my mule
That old Constitution creed and the three fifth...

Water And Stones
I hear the waters that murmur
In the brook where they stream
A whisper that deeply nurtures
The winged fantasy of my dreams
I see the water that winds
Unharmed between the stones
Like a smart fish without fins
Water has charm of its own
Liquid silver silk that ooze
A child's gurgle in tender age
Soft, a limpid crystal hue
Eternal flow of the tender age
Free meander of the glassy dew
Reflection of the ritual stream
The sun dots the waves with a glow ...

Her Way Of Wanting Us To Join In
Zayda walked to the pool.
She stripped down and smiled before diving.
She said the water's fine.

What He Saw On One Summer Night
One summer,
Princeton stepped outside for
some air and spotted twin chicks splashing
in the water until they looked at him before
Jenna smacked him on the head and got
him to come and rejoin
the party.
