Arctic Oscillations
What might describe the beauty that we see,
Adorning a rarefied autumn night,
More agreeably than some poetry
Of amalgamative inkhorn delight,
Which we may flex like unbound muscle
Cooling itself in the midnight air
Waiting for an inspired crepuscle
Of Borealis churned by solar flare
And twined for another magnetic dance
Through the upper reaches of polar sky,
Where only zephyrs and angels romance
To the music of the spheres drifting by,
Which, as often as not, from orbital flights,
Are the telemetrics of satellites!

Science is a cold hearted bastard
Making every mistake that it can
Until a process is mastered
Or configured into a plan.
Nature herself... collaborates
By granting research with success
To once and for, end all debates,
Of theological duress.
And though it's upsetting to some,
Forlorn by their own mortal state
And propped by thoughts of kingdom come
Promising us some magical fate,
Truth itself must pass a great test
Which by the metric system is blessed!

Star Trek Cafe
I wish I had a forbidden planet
And useful robots to adore
With tricorders to help me scan it
Whenever we stepped out the door.
And the pizza there would self prepare,
With phazers always fully charged,
By spinning themselves up in the air
While being cooked as it enlarged.
Down to the ground they'd soon return
Like manna from Italian gods
Where nary a slice would ever burn
Before landing on their triple pods...
To punctuate the established fact
That saucers keep the flavor intact.
